سُئل الإمامُ الشافعي: إذا كانَ الله يرمينا بِسهام القدر فكيفَ لنا بالنجاة؟

‏قال: "كُن بجوار الرامي تنجو".

Imam Al-Shafi’i was asked: If Allah shoots us with the arrows of qadar then how can we be saved?

He answered: “Stand next to the Archer [Allah] and you will be spared”

"If you see that people love you for no reason or benefit, and you find that they are comforted by your closeness and are always pleased by your presence, then you are blessed with all good.

Allah ta’ala said: “Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.” [Surah Maryam, 19:96]

And the greatest glad tiding for any person is when they know that Allah has endeared them to others and made people love them."

“Rejoice, that is Rasulullāh” ❤️‍🩹

Oh Allah, if the only bit of goodness that my heart holds is the love for You, Your prophet, and the believers, then Ya Allah, accept it from me, and allow it to be the reason for which You allow me in Jannah.

Found this in some notes from a couple years back :))) The same thing for which I longed then, I still yearn for now, سبحان الله. Time flies…Alhamdulillah for a new year of steadfastness upon tawhīd!

When I think back to it, سبحان الله, many have been in situations in which they’re lost in dunyah waiting for Allah to answer their supplications, only for them to stop asking Him right at the end, at the most tiring stage and most complicated days, the days of “despair” -or more like, “days of defeat”- the days in which Shaytan tells you that your dream doesn’t seem like it will ever turn into reality anymore, so you go about your life, despairing in the mercy of Allah and changing your plans to more “realistic” ones, turning back, giving up on what you sought, and choosing mediocrity! when, perhaps, if you asked a bit more, just a tiny bit more.. Allah would answer… 

May Allah protect us from such. 

O’ patient one, while others abandon their lofty dreams and choose the easy way out, and while many choose the ease of ignorance over the pain of guidance, you remain firm to this day and unwavering, despite Allah not granting you what you wish for yet, you still ask Him daily without getting tired or bored! Do you think this will pass by unnoticed? No, by the one who knows when a tree’s leaf will fall before the seed of the tree is even planted! He will not let your pleas go in vain, wallah. 

There’s true beauty in delay, Alhamdulillah. 

And despite you not understanding the reason behind it, Allah has a wisdom for which He decrees delays and inconveniences, He doesn’t do it to harm you -for He’s more merciful to you than yourself- but to draw you nearer, to raise your ranks in Akhirah, or perhaps even to grant you khayr in your dunyah, so thank Him for that and don’t busy yourself asking why,

May Allah open His doors to us. 

And remember, patience is ‘Ibadah, the more time you spend in this test, the more Hasanaat will be written for you! :))

“O believers! Shall I guide you to an exchange that will save you from a painful punishment?

It is to˺ have faith in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if only you knew.”

One day it will be the last time you commit that sin, either because you repented, or because you died. Repent now.

If death came only to whomever deserves it, the pure soul of Rasulullāh ﷺ would not have lived a day in the filth of this dunyah

If the angel of death could be stopped by love… The love of the Sahāba and their admiration for Rasulullāh would have stopped him,

If one’s fate could be prevented by fear and precaution, the protected pearl of this Ummah and its most loved person, our leader and teacher, the prophet of Allah ﷺ, the one for whom the Sahāba selflessly sacrificed their souls, would still be amongst us today. Relieving the pains of this dunyah with his bright smile.

But it is an unchanging reality Allah wrote for all before we were even born

Virtuous and evil

Righteous and sinful

You and I

And all those whom we love.

If death was a punishment, Rasulullāh’s soul wouldn’t be taken on that painful day we all remember.

And if death was a gift, Fir’awn’s drowning wouldn’t be narrated in the Qur’an till today.

But death is not but a reality, afflicting us all,

And no one has the right to choose to make it an end of honour, a relief from this dunyah, or a death of humiliation and pain but us.

You can only choose while alive, so choose now.

أوليس موتي في حياتي مرة؟

لم لا يكون ختامها استشهادي؟

“If you live in a country, you're a tourist, you stay there 10 days, and everything goes smooth for you you love that world, you always talk about it, “The best days of my life.” You don't think of leaving it! The same with this life! If everything goes smoothly in this life, it's hard for you to depart it. If everything goes smoothly in this life, it's hard for you to think about heaven. How could you think about heaven when everything is going smooth for you? How could you? It has to have problems to make you think about heaven.”
