While researching the Scarborough pics, this one came up as being taken in The Futurist Theatre, Scarborough, 9th August 1964 too - can anyone confirm that? It looks like they’re wearing the same clothing, but this is such a well known photo of the boys, I can’t believe I didn’t know it was taken in Scarborough! (My home town)

Beatle fans turn out on Scarborough seafront to catch a glimpse of the Beatles at The Futurist Theatre on the foreshore road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire on 9th August 1964. 

I have a personal interest in these photos as Scarborough is my home town, and although he didn’t live here at the time, somewhere in these crowds on the foreshore is my dad, aged 19. The grey expanse at the top of the last photo is the sea. The crowds went right down to the tideline.

got up a bit earlier than usual and made some food before heading out to a fat hike. We nearly died getting up but once we did I ran to the shade and we ate lunch. it was v nice from then on coz it was flat for a while before downhill. at the end we got off trail though and so it was v painful getting out and I now have a billion scratches on my legs by oh well. then we drove to sand beach and swam in the freezing water once some and Sarah took a bunch of pics. it was so cold but so nice heh and then we changed and stopped by thunder hole to see it quickly. then we drove to helens for dinner and I got a quesadilla and Meg and Sarah shared a piece of pie and it looks terrifying bahah. talked to cass during that meal a lot coz they were v low and I was v stressed but it was okay coz we talked when I got back and it’s alright now. just danced around with meg and Sarah for a bit until we were all dead and fell asleep hehe
