New pattern: 9-patch pivot, a thick quarter blanket Gather like fat quarters, but then struggling to find just the right pattern to actually use You? Well, I have the answer right now. , , my newest pattern, 9 patch fulcrum!

9 patch fulcrum urges Only 21 fat quarters plus 1 1/4 meter neutral, making the fabric choices a gasp! My example shows the upcoming Harvest Road collection by Lella Boutique for Moda, which will be available in October. This pretty quilt ends at 66 "x 77".

There are friends Some things you will like about this pattern. First, it really does allow a fabric collection To shine. It's shabby and visually interesting, but it has enough continuity also be visually calming.

Second, the assembly is real pretty easy. The pattern calls for sewing Stripsets that are strategically pressed so you can nest seams for Perfect nine-patch blocks.

Third, you can notice every little block with nine fields "floats" within the larger finished block Block, which means that it rests more than 1/4 "from all four sides. What is so great? about that? You do not have to score if you assemble everything finished blocks in rows! Woo hoo!

Finally this pattern will look fabulous in almost every fabric collection. I have made a test block in a charming pastel collection by Elea Lutz, called Bluebirds on Roses. Is not that so? Darling? And my mind is already thinking sew before winter. , , Would not a Christmas version be nice?

In the meantime you have noticed the wonderful quilt machine that holds everything together wonderful. This was done by the beautiful and talented Star Bear of the Starsquilts, We chose a soft taupe thread and a pattern called Abundant Feathers Gives additional heat and texture to the finished quilt. The block and layout for a stash busting quilt for my sister. The quilt top has been sewn and I’m have to get batting and a backing to coordinate. It will have #DrWho themed embroidery/redwork to tie the #TARDISblue fabric into the quilt as well as give it some more visual interest. The blue and grey mosaic fabrics were the leftovers from a project from a friend, and the space fabric was from a yard sale in Simcoe County a few years back, that was originally planned to be skirts or a dress.
