A Distant Memory || Namston

Gaston trudged through the streets, kitted and shaved and ready for the gym. Really, he didn’t feel awake enough to push himself. But as it seemed, working out was one of the few constants in his life. Always had been, always would be. True, it might have been exhausting in it’s own right. But it was far less exhausting than having to teach yourself your life story at least once a week and try to get your head around the fact that time had passed since your brain had last consulted you about it.

His eyes flicked from the tired daze to a passing face, blinking once, eyebrows pinching ever so briefly. Before his mind had time to respond, his hand was reaching after the girl and snatching her arm toward him. “I know you.” He said, letting his eyes roam frenzied across her face. “I know you. You-” Well, he wasn’t sure what he knew. Just the face. Just that, now he had it right in front of him, it had somehow permeated his mind. It was there, always and forever. A shadow in every memory he had, every notch in his subconscious. 

“You’re the girl from my dreams.”

So backstory/ Distant Memory~

Kain and Able grew up super poor, like super super poor they lived in the slum distract, their clothes were always tattered and full of holes, and always dirty. There parents were just as terrible, they were offten very abusive, often blaming them for their misfortune even though it was their own doing and massive amount of debt that got them there. However later karma or the debt collectors caught up with them. So all they really had were each other. Able was much more sickly, he was always sick when he was young, he also cried often but Kain didn't mind he always protected and provided for him it wasn't much but he did his best they often went hungry. Until. Trevik and (* I dunno how to describe them *) rolled threw and slaughtered the distract. The twins tried to escape but they were so young they couldn't run very fast. Kain ended up protecting Able and was strucken down. Able didn't quite comprehending what happened he was honestly in shock, he shook him and was crying out for him but it was to late when Trevik approached him he tried to fight back and protect Kain, but a child verses an adult it was no match. But Trevik sensed something so while Ables life was fleeting he offered him power and a chance to save Kain and become powerful. So now it's more of a distant memory. Neither twins remember the life before. But the memories are still there for both of them somewhere, buried deep deep down subconsciously.

But that is why Able became the strong one to protect his older brother so it would never ever happen again. Of course since Kain is stuck in the lower ranks ( He the highest in the ❇ tear, borderlind almost an ✴ ) but he resents Able for being in the ✴ tear. So he's always threatening to kill him and take his position, Able isn't much better he'll always remind Kain he's only in the ❇ tear so he's no match.

In their past memory, Able always relied on Kain so he felt himself as a burden before now. However he no longer wants to be that burden he became stronger and joined the higher ranks to put himself and Kain in an extremely good position. He's hoping to achieve a much higher goal to benefit both of them, if he can become the strongest he can put himself and his brother at the top they'll have all the power and never have to worry or be under anyone thumb ever again. Kain has no clue of his goal and Able is going to keep it that way. He just wants Kain to focus on himself and his own goals of aming for the top and power, he's going to make sure they get there one way or another, or at the very least that his brother gets there. But unbeknownst to Able Kain kinda has a similar goal dispite knowingly using his brother as a stepping stone, he still wants to see his brother stand at the top with him, slightly lower but still up there. So they may fight, and they may hate each other. Their both still very much connected as brothers

Cayenne's hands shook as she looked up at Vivi, who stared back at her as if a word was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn't remember. Cayenne felt a mess of emotions, excitement, happiness, sadness, but the most she could feel was regret. She shouldn't have come up to her. She shouldn't have run up, hopeful. She felt tears well up in her eyes, but spoke anyway, "Do you remember me?" She murmured, shaky and unsure.

When the young girl had approached her, it was like Vivi was seeing her through a pink fog. Something about the cherry hair and devil horns, or the way she had looked up at her with such a look of joy and excitement mixed with mischief…Vivi knew her, but she just couldn’t place it. Definitely, this was someone from her past.

She had only been awake for a couple of days, and the only people who had come to see her had been her parents…they had mentioned a family she had been close to before she lost her memory, a family by the name of…

“Oh, Pepper! Are you one of the Pepper triplets, then?”
