Thinking of this:
it's so funny to see how much the twins love hiccup to the point where tuff chose hiccup out of all the riders to be ruff's substitute twin brother in bad moon rising while ruffnut had no problems calling him tuffnut haddock when it came to the potential of tuff losing the thorston family name in a gruff separation. and even better because tuff is the one who brings up the adopting idea first by saying "ruffnut haddock does sound sort of good."

I have to assume it's a lot like the average lifespan or whatever being super low when you include the Spiders Georg of that (infant mortality). It brings down the average for everyone.
Gruffnut decides to use sexism against the twins.
Oh, you'll just marry into another family, Ruffnut, no big deal!!! But then makes old maid / elderly hen comments.
Oh, Ruffnut's had two failed romances (Fishlegs and Throk, though how he found that out is... curious?), and then she'll have no name, no dowry.
How did Gruffnut find out about the failed romances? Like, surely the gang isn't telling Berk about every misadventure they had???
