daughter of a witch ( yes, you read that right ), eunji can prove that coming from an unconventional family on jeju island only brought her problems over the years.
witch isn't quite the correct term, but sunbi got used to that term before even bringing her first daughter to the world. the woman was known by the island for her charms, potions of witchcraft and to be able to see the future in letters and stones. gypsies have never been anything well accepted in society, in south korea much less.
eunji grew up in the cradle of a single mother, playing with precious stones in the back of the store near the port that belonged to her eomma, sometimes taking turns for books. despite her empathy for the fate chosen by her mom; ever since she was a child, eunji discovered that if she really wanted to be remembered, she should study enough to become someone.
so she got a scholarship at an elite school, and what should've been a dream turned out to be a nightmare.
eunji was bullied by all her class mates, who didn't respect her mother or her origins, and no matter how intelligent she might be, she never seemed to be enough for her class mates or the school board.
things only got worse when she ended up developing the same gifts as her mother; a sixth sense. nothing extraordinary, but rainy days affected her mood and cold breeze brought her bad feelings.
until she meets that guy and everything .. goes numb.
her mother said that she was missing out on a great gift of her life, ignoring the divine gift to focus on something that humans created, but despite much respect for the one who gave her life, eunji had her own goals to conquer.
moved to seoul to pursue law school, along with her year-old boyfriend who was a good boy, son of politicians who definitely did not accept their relationship.
the bad part of the sixth sense is that you can predict when something bad is going to happen, and even though she already knew what that meant, eunji ignored it to the very end until she could no more.
when she discovered that both her boyfriend and his family were aware of her pregnancy, it was too late. eunji suffered from a miscarriage ( obviously caused by her son's father ) and there wasn’t nothing she could do about it.
that's how she ended at bucheon in her nineteen years. too afraid to return to her origins, tired to continue in the same place that just traumatized life out of her.
with the ghosts that chased after her, it was easier to accept her reality, and she looked more like her mother than she wanted to admit now.
today she works in a small floriculture, which serves as a facade to sell her ‘ miraculous ’ herbs as she has heard so much, and that is the only thing that helps her escape from her demons.

okay, but to summarize :: eunji was a bean full of want for knowledge that ended up getting lost in the evil of other people.
she had her grief process, so she could recover, but some ghosts are never completely buried.
the friend who will want to read your hand and see your future in e v e r y t h i n g.
has two black cats as mythology promises.
today she doesn’t mind being called a witch and carrying the legacy of her mom ( which unfortunately is no longer alive ).
still nourishes her love for science and concrete facts, but it reminds her of her whole past so she prefers to keep her feet on the ground of her own world.
loves to make people around her smile.
she learned to not bow her head to anyone too much.
will defend her beliefs with her whole life & soul.
can not sing for shit, but try at all costs.
dresses as witch in every damn halloween .. bc, c'mon !! why would i miss this aesthetic
she loves bugs ( if she sees you killing an ant, you'll regret being born ).
