Chat’s Bell, Adrien’s Cage - A Boy Who Wishes for Freedom
The Bell. The Symbol of a Domesticated Animal. The Symbol of one Bound to Another. The Symbol of a Son bound to His Father.
It was rather fitting for Blanc’s Akumatized Object to be The Bell. Something that symbolized the Chains his Father has on him became the thing that corrupted him. The episode also gave us a foreshadow of Chats Eventual Change in Costume.
When he was saved, he was no longer bound by his Father anymore. He was, for the first time; Free. It was at that ment we saw Chat with a new look. A Chat without His Bell. A Chat without his Chains. As long as he holds that Bell, we the audience know that his Father still has a hold onto him. After all the Costume is based on their inner self.
Chats Inner Self is a Cat who wishes to be free but is bound by his Master. When he loses his Bell, it means the Chains of his Master are finally Broken & he will finally be free of the Prison.
Let us Pray for our boy. Let us pray for him to one day be rid of his Bell. To be rid of his Chains. The Chains of Solitude. The Cold Chains of feeling Unloved. The only way free is with The Key of Feelings. A Key of Love. A Key That only another can give. For only the Love of another can free The Boy who feels loved by No One. Loved not by his Goddess nor by his Master. To be loved...by someone Miraculous.
