magda’s childhood nickname was zabko, because she was utterly obsessed with frogs. every toy, every picture, every song, or every story, all had to revolve around her same amphibious friends. it used to drive her parents mad, especially when she used to keep sneaking them inside from the local pond, and letting them sleep in the bath, in the hopes of being able to keep one as a pet. even in adulthood, she still has a fondness for them in her garden, (although she has at least gotten to the point, where she’s not so enamoured by them indoors.)

magda loves dance. aside from the usual tradition at rroma gatherings, she’s wanted to see the ballet for as long as she can remember. she used to ask max to collect the old theatre posters on his way home from work, just so she could have a piece of the magic. there’s just something so graceful about a dancers lines, that sleekness combined with flexibility that she knows for a fact her body is incapable of replicating. it’s almost ethereal and it just makes her happy. maybe not in the way you might think, but there’s something aspirational and uplifting about it. one day she’s determined she’s going to watch margot fonteyn.

1. Erik and Magda have, over the years, developed a language of sorts that only they understand. It’s a collection of languages, all merged together, words borrowed from their respective cultures, to just form one cohesive amalgamation that manages to confuse everyone else, yet they can understand perfectly. It really only exists by accident, after months of struggling with language barriers and trying to find some kind of common ground. There’s still some grey areas, particularly when it comes to cursing, because then the mother tongues will always prevail, but for the most part, they have something unique and distinctly theirs, that was born from necessity, but that thrives out of choice.
2. On days when they’re not both plagued by nightmares, Magda talks in her sleep whereas Erik occasionally snores. On some level, it’s always been comforting rather than annoying, even if only to confirm that there’s someone with them, and they’re not alone. Every once in a blue moon, it does hit a nerve though, and an ‘accidental’ elbow to the ribs, or knee to the back may just wake the offending party up.
3. Magda doesn’t believe in maps. She prefers to navigate on a basis of gut feeling rather than a piece of paper she may or may not be able to properly read. This means, that on any occasion where she’s been left in charge of navigating, the two of them have ended up obscenely lost. Erik never minds too much, because he’s always got polarity on his side, but he does delight just a little too much in pointing out where she’s gone wrong on their travels.
4. Whenever Magda and Erik argue, they both have tried and tested methods for begging for forgiveness. Erik will always come home with flowers, or go out of his way to carve one out of wood, and Magda will always bake lebkuchen cookies, to try and sweet talk him with a German delicacy.

@a-differentpxth Saburo screamed as the building exploded, the teenage albino was wearing nothing but a stolen lab coat from one of the HYDRA scientists. He was thrown forward violently and landed in the snow which contrasted with his white hair. It was so cold... Late December. His Christmas had been spent being restrained to a chair whilst scientists and guards forcefed him through a tube. They wanted a cure for mutants, and he was their test subject. Thankfully, they hadn't succeeded. The half-Esper, although slightly more resistant to the cold than most, the minus Celsius temperatures were still going to kill him soon. He had found a clearing from the forest, but he was so tired. He fell into the snow and looked up, his red irises squinting in the light. There was a small plane. It wasn't HYDRA. He didn't have any flares. He didn't need any. He concentrated, cupping his hands near, focusing on the air molecules. He started to make them move very fast. Within a few seconds he had made a fireball, quite large. He sent it up into the air so the plane could see it, he thankfully didn't hit. He was able to send two more up before collapsing from exhaustion.
@a-differentpxth liked for an angst/action starter.
The telepath stood over the worn form of an INNOCENT mutant, his foot pushed against the youngster’s chest, physically keeping him from moving from the spot, from running. He COULD make him, he could delve inside that head of his head and MAKE him do whatever he wanted, but where was the FUN in that? Slowly, he tilted his head to the side as the youth begged Charles to let him go, PLEADED with him, but the telepath’s actions did nothing of the sort. He knelt down by his side, a soft expression ghosting his features. “I’m sorry, my young friend...” He began in a gentle tone, betraying his true nature. He brought a hand up to the side of his head, digging up every painful memory, every AGONY that lingered in the boy’s mind, uncaring of onlookers, of the horror he was FORCING upon the boy. Control, they HAD to be reminded just who was in control. “-- - there is NO mercy.”
