Don't know if you're the most capable for this but do you know why some people think @/fuckyeahasexual is problematic? I'm trying to find some good positivity blogs to follow. Thank you!

Yeah sorry I’m really not the person to ask if a specific blog is problematic or not because unless I’m following or know the people running it, I’m likely to miss that type of stuff. I don’t follow FYA (though I follow a few people who do), so I’m not up on everything going on with that blog, but I do know they’ve been the target of a lot of smear campaigns from ace exclusionists, so I do recommend if you hear something about them that you do a bit of digging and make sure you get the full story.

I’ll ask followers, what are your favourite positivity blogs who you would recommend for Anon to follow? Self promos definitely welcome as well. 

Personally I’m a big fan of a-spec-tacular and aggressivelyarospec.

Day 4, Asexual Awareness Week. Intersectional experiences.

I suppose one of the sucky things about being on the ace-spectrum and a poc coming from a religious household is that people assume you feel the way you do because of some kind of repression or guilt complex. Dude no. There’s a difference between actively fighting against your sexual desires for someone and that desire for them not being there in the first place.

Also, last I checked, most religious households were never entirely against sex. Its usually encouraged after marriage so it’s not like religious people say ‘NEVER DO IT EVER.’ Religious people still think about sex with others. I just don’t because it doesn’t naturally occur to me. Not because I was taught to deny my feelings.
