Asexual Awareness Week 2017

We’re a little too swamped to host a major event for AAW like we did last year, but we will still be checking through and reblogging from #acespectacular, and we’ll take submissions from followers as well!

If you do submit, please make sure it’s asexuality-related, appropriately tagged, and uses an image description if necessary.

hope you don’t mind, you requested dirk and i decided to continue my lil’ grease au thing i started a couple of days ago! Flip (so named for his excitable personality, NOT because he tried to jump a fence in freshman year and flipped onto his face in the mud no matter what anyone else says you can’t prove anything todd) is the only brit in school, a card-carrying Pink Lady and definitely has more clothes than common sense. he’s planning on dropping out of Ridgeley High to go to beauty school, although his friends are quite rightly dubious about his abilities. he’s bright, positive, and low-key (high-key) in love with best friend and fellow Pink Lady Todd ‘Bad News’ Brotzman, although that guy’s got issues of his own to sort out right now.

Looking for Mods!

Followers may have noticed we’re slowing down on consistent posting and updates, and that’s largely because the current admins are all pretty busy, and have a hard time doing much more than answering questions nowadays. 

To alleviate some of that pressure and help this blog become more active again, as well as make it easier for us to write more original posts, we’re looking for some moderators to add to the team.

What we’re looking for:

People to look through a-spec tags for good, relevant posts

Understanding of blog’s tagging system (over time) 

Image descriptions for any posts without them 

(We’ll help out if you’re having trouble understanding what is needed in an image description)

Queuing these posts somewhat consistently to keep the blog active

A diverse staff team: we need more people of color and physically disabled folks especially.

How to apply:

Contact the blog off-anon and let us know you’d like to join up as a moderator.

You need to have consistent activity on a blog you run dating back more than six months 

We’ll also ask that you show us proof of ownership unless you’re contacting us directly on that blog.

Applicants should agree at least in part with the blog’s general ideals of inclusion, acceptance, and growth. 

Additional Information

We won’t hesitate to get rid of trolls and of people who aren’t somewhat active in queuing things (as a safety measure).

We have a channel set aside in the blog’s Discord server just for blog-related business, so we will likely need your Discord username so you can join & keep in contact with other staff.

We’re happy to answer questions and help people out as much as is needed, and we’re super forgiving of mistakes and accidents. We’re firm on most safety-related concerns, but extremely flexible in virtually every other area.

First, Thank you, Face, for even making this possible. Without your direction to the blog with all those identities and orientations I wouldn't have been able to do this.

Because I have no artistic talent whatsoever this is only coloured in. I did this with roughly 24 pure working hours. I tried to be as inclusive as possible, but as you all may know there are a lot and it's just not possible to get every single one. But I hope I can you to smile, when you see your colours in there somewhere.
