I got to try my instructor's ESAB Sentinel the A50 welding helmet today! The headgear was fantastic; it stayed on my head without a strong pressure point and felt comfortable. ESAB's high definition lenses are very impressive. The arc, puddle, and joint are crisp and clear. Moreover, a surprising amount of the material I was welding was visible. It would be fairly easy to follow a weld that wasn't straight. Plus, this thing looks like a friggin fighter pilot's helmet or as my instructor said "something straight out of Star Wars". Overall, it was a joy to use! My Miller Elite gets the job done but trying this helmet was a treat.
