New Hori art!!
ghost xiao.
you're looking for a new place to live, and you find this nice apartment. cheap, no bugs, right next to your college, close to the grocery store,,, the people in the reviews who say it's haunted are just rumormongers, you reason, people who like to stir the pot, so you arrange to move in the next week.
after a while, you start to understand why people were so afraid of this house. doors open all by themselves, curtains flutter even when the windows are closed, and drawers slam shut when you turn your back on them. it's scary, but after a while, you get used to it. the house, too, seems to grudgingly understand that you're not leaving anytime soon and becomes a little gentler.
you find out the thing haunting the apartment is named xiao, and he's been here alone for decades. now, you talk to him, and sometimes he answers. he won't show you his physical form all the time, but you know he's listening. you two grow to be good friends. it's domestic, in a way.
one day, you tell him that you won't be home for movie night tomorrow, as you're going on a date with a friend. his whole demeanor changes after that. he floats off to pout for some unknown reason.
xiao knows what will happen; you'll fall in love with your friend, and spend more and more time away from him until he'd only be a little dust in the back of your memories, pushed away and forgotten. it's not like he minded it, before, but now that he's had a taste of that docile, domesticated life, he can't bear the thought of giving you up to someone else.
his skills have grown rusty with lack of practice, but he remembers how to take a solid form, how to manipulate objects to do his bidding, and most important: how to make a living being lose consciousness. he'd be able to get groceries and take care of you, right? you wouldn't hate him that much for keeping you here with him, right? he truly hopes so.

OOOO GHOST XIAO!!!!
Ghost Xiao who traces words into the condensation of your mirror so that when you get out of the shower you can see his messages. It’s totally not because he was watching you. He just wants you out of the house, so he’s trying to give you a proper scare. But you’re so persistent in staying that those spooky messages soon turn into nice messages (for the most part).
Or ghost Xiao who makes the room even chillier when he’s upset, angry, or jealous and it’s a telltale sign that something’s up. It’s usually cold in the house, but it gets even colder when he’s sulking about something. It gets scary when he actually starts to keep you inside the house. He’ll lock doors and slam windows shut whenever you try to escape, advising you in a frigid voice that you belong here. It’s better inside anyways, so stop being so difficult. He can do everything for you anyways! Xiao’s not entirely clueless on how to manipulate and harm others if he truly puts what little energy he has into it.
And when he’s not practicing for the day when he’ll have to keep you confined to the house, he’s doing what he can to be better than that person you’re so intent on spending extra time with.
The AU that I'm making, which I've only mentioned once, is ... The Everlasting Jellicle Brigade!
It's a combination of two things I love the most: Cats the Musical and the band TWRP ! It takes the world of Starlight Brigade and combines it with the Jellicles.
Thus far, I have made a Google Doc to organize everything. Here is the cast !
I would love for suggestions about who should get which role. A lot of them will be residents of the Junkyard (my stand in for SB's Mobious), if they don't get roles related to the Brigade.
I once was heavily focused on a fanwork called Guide Us to the Other Side, under my alternate username Usako_Wings, which was supposed to be a written retelling of the animated music video. However, I quite dislike my old wriitng style and have abandoned it. This will be my new thing.
I will mainly be executing this idea through writing, drawing, and day dreaming.
Here is my Mistoffelees design!
I'm very passionate about this, so please send in asks and suggestions, I'd absolutely love that.
oooh... about mob boss sukuna rescuing kidnapped reader,, that would totally provide an opening for yandere sukuna, convincing reader that the world is so evil and dangerous (he would know that better than anyone, wouldnt he?) and that theyre only safe when theyre around him, and reader is in a fragile state of mind, they just trust him no questions asked. sukuna totally exploits that to his benefit, subtly blackmailing reader and holding it above their head, like "surely you remember i saved your life, thank me by bending over and being obedient".
whos to say it wasnt him who orchestrated the kidnapping? he wouldnt be above that, especially if it meant reader would finally cling to him like he imagines it: in desparation, in fear, in a primal need to be protected and feel safe.
(also this thought was absolutely inspired by your concept of yandere nanami!!)
ahh anon you're SO RIGHT. the concept of him engineering a kidnapping to prove to reader that he's the only one who can really take care of them and reader should need him the way that he needs them is SO GOOD oh my god . . . he definitely reminds reader of this every time it seems like reader is wavering; even if i let you go, people would know you were once mine, and not all people will be as kind to you as i have. you don't want to be exploited. i'll take care of you, if you just stop fighting so much.

“it’s less than $100!!”
