"H-h-happy birthday M-mike!!!" Mort smiles brightly, holding a few balloons for the other.
Mike was honestly not expecting this-- well, he expected a few happy birthdays, sure, but he didn’t expect the balloons. He also hadn’t had as many chances to meet with his coworker as he would have liked-- he seemed quite the nice character, after all-- and so was pleasantly surprised to find the other approach and gift him with a cheery smile and some balloons.
“Aw, thanks, Mort!” He grins, gladly accepting the balloons and [in his mind] cleverly tying them to his wrist.
