a metre used in the songs of norway it looks quite simple, the lines are four, eh? with trochees, dactyls it's quite intense, you know this metre from somewhere else? (this metre is called nystev btw, curious to hear if you know similar metres)

Fascinating! Is it trochees and dactyls or is it iambs and amphibrachs? How fixed is the form? Is it always ◡ – ◡ – ◡ ◡ – ◡ – (◡) ?
Mother Gothel
i brush my hair before going to bed
and think about things we’ve done and said.
when i was two, my hair stayed down,
pinned back with clips green, purple and brown;
when i was four, i wore it long,
tied up, pushed back, in plaits i did wrong;
when i was six, i used to cry
when my mother brushed it, wet or dry;
when i was eight, i cut it short,
a haircut of a much better sort;
when i was ten, it had grown back,
tangling length - i feared the comb’s attack;
when i was twelve, i tried new styles
plait crowns, low bunches, bunched up in piles;
when fourteen, i went back to short,
partly for gender, partly for sport;
when sixteen, it was hidden by
a blue bandana, and bright pink dye;
when eighteen, bandana still worn,
though underneath hair was all shorn;
i’m twenty now, it’s growing out,
and knots without much moving about;
i brush my hair before going to bed,
and think about things we’ve done and said.
Ladybird
hey, little ladybird,
keep quiet as can be,
lest you give away
our place from miles away.
oh, little ladybird, as
lucky as can be,
you’ve given me
more than i can repay.
watch, little ladybird,
me imitate your flight
in some poor mockery
of how you shine-
oh, little ladybird
your spots are oh so sweet,
and it would fail me not to
tell you i am thine.
