BRYONY. it would be such a joy. i can't get complex sentences out right now but you Get it. seeing them with one of their irl friends who's absolutely a huge part of why they understand us as an audience so much / why they as gay men are so rocking w the dykes? it would be such a good podcast episode i just know it.

7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time
22: Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
7. watching the living, listening in on their conversations, especially if there is juicy drama. occasionally she will save up the energy to haunt the living, like moving objects around to cause confusion or, its favorite, making greedy businessmen piss their pants out of fear.
Maya has all the time in the world, being dead. the only thing she can do is waste time, so she makes it fun.
22. she would probably scribble on it. maybe even leave an ominous message for the living to find so it can giggle.
Hi! <3 For the end of the year asks: 10, 14, 15, 24~
Hiiiii <3 yay yippee, sorry I went kinda nuts on it cause I can't shut up lmfao 💖
10. shortest wip of the year
Oh god. My poor half-baked abandoned FFVII wip at a whopping 1,523 words is my shortest wip this year. It has been in stasis for 8 months with no signs of reviving any time soon 😭
14. a fic you didn’t expect to write
Mmmm okay, honestly Cellophane Desire really came out of nowhere. Blindsided me in a manic 24 hour sicko mode period. It was awesome, I absolutely cooked with it, but the magnitude of my single-minded obsession surprised me.
I'll also say Seeking Enrichment and Leave Out All The Rest were both surprise fics too and csme in a manic blur much the same way. All my one shot ideas are surprises for me I guess lmfao. I get so lost in the sauce of the multi chapter game that when other inspirations strike, they take me off guard.
15. something you learned this year
Omg. I learned so much honestly. Maybe the best thing I learned was the joy of working collaboratively on writing? I'm such a chronic "i'm gonna grind this out solo even if it kills me" kind of person, but I've had a lot of fun taking inspiration from other people/conversations/art this year and I think it has only made things better. My friend put it like this: Don't be greedy with your art. Its meant to be shared and thought about. Keeping everything to myself helps no one.
This advice allowed me to ask for help/feedback, and gave me the motivation to commit to ideas that I've been unsure about. (My western AU was something I sat on for 7 months before I tried to write it, much less share it. Its niche, and mostly just for me. I'm glad I committed even if it isnt my most popular story by any stretch. Committing, even if it's clunky/slow/awkward is always better than being too nervous to try.)
24. favorite fic you read this year
This is impossible lmfaoo 😭 I'm looking through my bookmarks from this year like, "damn that one's really good, oh and that one, oh and that one!" I picked out a handful of faves because the world deserves to know.
For SSKK: I'm so in love with everything in halves I fucking think about it all the time. Hanging on every word, everyone should read it, Anna is a masterful writer and a treasure, etc etc etc.
For AkiAngel: I read this one today actually, but it had me wanting to grind it up and inject it unironically so I'm putting it on the list for the hell of it: someday I'll destroy you. VERY graphic, the dead dove ain't fucking around on this one lmfao (exactly how I like it).
For Strifentine: This one is so fucking delightful to me, it makes me crazy honestly. I'm not usually one for a fake married trope, but this one really did it for me: Sign Here its very endearing and very true to them, I think. It's also straight up funny as hell at times, its really a fun read.
And the last one I'll throw on there is so niche, its absolutely a crack pairing for campaign 1 of Not Another D&D Podcast, but it was delightful. It nailed the tone and characterization so perfectly. It had me laughing to tears (I don't think I've ever laughed so hard while reading a smut fic. Comedy podcasts have fic writers with the most incredible sense of comedic voice I've ever seen, its fucking incredible lmao). 10/10 Agrimony and Balm.
🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories?
it depends! mostly, i write stories based on vibes so i just go at it, though i definitely tend to look up some details here and there (sometimes even for stuff that's not relevant. for i would worship you instead of him i researched how the nightsky will look like on a specific date in august, just to make sure the constellation edwin points out are actually visible at that time of the year) . the fic that's going to be the most research heavy is the band au because i decided to write a story featuring lots of discussion of music while knowing barely anything about music except that i like to listen to it... so. that's going to be fun! (why am i doing this to myself?)
💞 Who's your comfort character?
hm i can't really decide. dbda is definitely my comfort media rn since i'm totally obsessed but i'm not really sure to pick a favourite. edwin is my beloved tortured and bitchy gay, charles is my wonderful sunshine boy with repressed trauma and bisexuality, crystal is my lovely messy teenage girl (seriously, writing from her perspective for the big bang is SO much fun and lowkey cathartic) and niko is just. i mean she's niko, what more is there to say.
and i think it's less of a comfort character thing and more of a comfort character constellation thing. i don't want any of them in isolation, i want to dig my teeth into their dynamics and interactions
20 for that ask game simply because im feeling silly and i prolly know heheh
20. if u could revive any show what would it be?

The monsters moved toward you in slow motion, their joints popping, the movements looking disjointed in the lights coming from the tall wall behind you. You had grown up behind the wall and everyone who lived in the wall knew that monsters were terrifying. They made the latest horror movies look like child's play.
The monster unhinged its jaw and screamed. You dropped to the ground and covered your ears. Where was Kate? She said she'd follow you anywhere after your parents died. Kate's contract was terminated after their deaths but Kate had grown attached to you and she knew if she left you to your own devices, you wouldn't make it very long.
This was just supposed to be a simple retrieval mission. The reports from their contacts early in the night said the monsters were staying far from the wall. Nice to see that was a lie. You reached for the machete across your back and just as you looked up ready to charge the monster, you finally spotted Kate. Bow in hands she slid on the ground to your right and drew the string back. The arrows she used always had purple plastic feathers in them. Her cargo pants and tank top were black. No wonder you couldn't find her. She had blended in around you.
The monster screamed as the arrow sunk unnaturally into its hide. You recognized the scream, having heard it enough times by now with your jaunts to the other side of the wall. It was calling for others. It was calling for its mother. The ground shook slightly as Kate locked eyes with you.
"We need to run." She never said the words aloud but you had been around Kate long enough that you knew what her small nods meant.
"Lead the way." Your body language said back. As quick as she had her bow out, it was slung over her back where she always kept it.
The terrain around you was dry and dusty. You could hear the popping disjointed movement of the monster behind you. It was trying desperately to catch up but the arrow Kate sunk into its slick flesh must've gone further in than it first appeared.
You ducked under the remnants of a sign and followed after Kate. One of the underground bunkers, the people of the White Crane syndicate group you were a part of, was coming up soon. You heard Kate throw the latch and as gracefully as you could you dove into it. The concrete hurt as you tumbled down but you heard the door latch and the rumbling come from above of a very angry, very big monster. You pulled the string hanging from the ceiling and a dull yellow light blinked to life.
"What were you thinking going out by yourself?" Kate turned to you once her boots hit the concrete flooring. Her eyebrow shot up as her ponytail bounced behind her head.
"I thought, oh what a lovely way to ruin Kate's night. I'm sure the monsters won't mind if we have a lovely jog." You scowled at her and crossed your arms. "I took a simple snatch and dash. Half a mile from the gate in a bunker. Wexley said the coast was clear of monsters and guards."
"The wall was crawling with guards. I had to take out at least 5 just on my way to catch up to you. You've got to be more careful. I'm supposed to watch out for you." Kate's big blue eyes pleaded with you to see reason. She was only a few years older than you but had lived outside of the wall for years before your parents took her in. "And a swarm is obviously moving through!"
"I'm sorry, okay! It was a setup. I just wanted to be able to do something without you for once." You pinched the bridge of your nose in frustration, the dust from outside settling onto your skin. You'd need a shower later, that was for sure.
"Babygirl, what have we talked about?" She walked up to you and gently moved your chin so that you had to look her in the eyes.
"That I'm not a burden to you and that we stick together." You mumbled in her gaze.
"And?" Kate drew out, kissing you on the cheek.
"That I'm a pain in your ass but you love me and wouldn't trade me for anything." You finished. Kate hummed in approval as she gently brought her lips to yours. It was a soft and gentle kiss. Something to remind you that you weren't alone. She slowly pulled away from you and turned to see what was leftover in the bunker from previous people.
"I'm less scared of the monsters and more scared that there's a killer on the loose. Why else would you get set up like that? We have a good reputation with the White Cranes." Kate shook her hair out of her ponytail, dust poofing around you like powdered sugar in a bakery.
"That's just a rumor, relax. We don't have any proof. It could've just been a really bad coincidence?" You offered up. The hope you felt was evident in your voice.
"We can look into it tomorrow. For now, help me get a bed together baby."
