Miles had always admired Tony Stark, of course, and the fact that man was just someone who hung out with him and talked to him was amazing.

Then he walks into the workshop to Tony and Colonel Rhodes arguing over code, covered in grease and screaming to be heard over Metallica instead of turning down the music, and his whole heart swells.

He gets a new hero that day - Rhodey, also known as War Machine.

What if you're minimalist because you grew up with no home to call your own because your parents moved hundreds of times so you are used to living out of a suitcase and decorating feels like lying to yourself that anywhere could be anything but temporary
