Kirk Hammett is the reason I play guitar. I wouldn't have one rn if it weren't for the One solo (which I watched OVER and OVER again religiously)

Daron Malakian is another one. I admire his playing greatly, like... a Lot.

James Hetfield too!! His rhythm game is UNMATCHED. I aspire to be like him in more ways than just playing guitar to tell you the truth.

Buckethead is also another!!! He may sound "robotic" to some but that's really his whole gimmick, and imo he's one of the best guitarists I have EVER heard in my life. It was love at first listen.

Sadly you have to settle for him being a good guy/mentor. A bit too much of a power imbalance/age gap for me to write comfortably. 😅

The MC absolutely will be there at some point and find out about the crush. Besides isn't it a fantasy trope that the mentor dies? Dying of embarrassment will at least be a twist on the trope. 😈

Aarne Pilsner Glass designed by Göran Hongell for Iittala 1948

Göran Hongell was a Finnish artist and glassware designer. His Aarne set remains his most recognizeable work. The Aarne pilsner glasses were used in Star Trek Enterprise as barware for the 602 Club.

How long has Aarne been in the order? Do he has friends? a lover? How good is he fighting, what weapon does he use? a funny fact? lol, thank you!!!

Aarne has been with the Order since he was a little more than a toddler. His parents were merchants but after a few horrible business deals and unbelievably bad luck, perished during winter. He refuses to talk about the time between the actual initiation into the Order and after his parent's deaths. So a few decades at the time you meet him in Prologue.

He has friends, Aarne and Nina grew close after he started dropping in to check how the MC is doing. Few others his age who are part of the Order.

No lover, yet. He has his eyes on somebody and I'm maybe putting some of it in the timeskip I'll put up before next chapter.

He's one of the better ones. But most of the Order are better than average because of the unfair advantage of shadow hopping (and some other tricks). Aarne prefers long knives, one straight and one curving so he has options. Can shoot a crossbow but not a bow, he was too impatient to learn it.

Aarne has no big toe on his right foot. Will tell anyone who asks/notices that a monster from under his bed ate it when he tried to sneak out as a child.
