We’re continuing our MCD S2 rewatch and, like, one of the missed opportunities is that there’s no connection established with Aaron and Travis.

Throughout S2, Travis talks about this connection he feels with Aphmau and how familiar it is (others also comment on it too.) This is supposed to be a hint towards the Divine Warriors and such, but then, why don’t Aaron and Travis have that? Is it because Aphmau is actually Irene proper, or is it just because Aaron can never have any other relationships? Who’s to say.

I just want some Aarvis/Shenki food to sustain myself. 😔😔

"Is there a reason we're doing this again?" Aaron asked, almost cautiously, though his voice carried his usual strength. He didn't want to ruin the moment, or put a stop to it in any way. Not that this was a moment or anything, they were friends, doing things friends do.

"You don't really need a reason sometimes man," Travis replied simply, his smile tired. Him being tired was usually how he matched Aaron's energy. Aaron was probably more concerned about that then he should've been.

"Yeah," Aaron responded, not sure if a response was needed or wanted. Travis smiled at him again before turning back to the bottle, putting all the attention on his hand. The color was fine, a really dark purple that also might've been red, Aaron wasn't entirely sure.

It was quiet. Travis didn't usually like the quiet. He wanted to keep talking, but there was nothing more to say, and he was surprsingly enjoying the silence. The other's hands were warm, grounding, even though Travis didn't really feel the need to be grounded.
