Alpha Day 4: Ab Intervals
So this workout might be ever so slightly easier than the others? I mean don't get me wrong, it's still hard, but perhaps minutely less sucky?
As you probably guessed from the title, this one is all about the abs. Just abs on abs on abs. But don't think you're getting out of cardio! You definitely ARE NOT. In fact, you get what Sean T (who I want to start calling Shonti - it's easier to type and say!) calls "cardio recovery." I had a literal, actual LOL at my television when he said those words. "Cardio recovery?" I asked, incredulously, to my empty apartment. But yes, friends, that's what it's callled and actually? You'll be praying for those cardio "breaks" soon enough. I never thought I'd be so happy to do a cardio interval as I was during this workout. Because the ab intervals are intense. They're all about slow, controlled movement. And that is HARD. So the chance to get up and do some quicker movement was actually welcome.
Another welcome thing about this workout? No "Burnout." PRAISE.
So what kinds of ab exercises are you doing? Allllllll kinds. You've got planks and variations on planks. You've got V-sits. Leg raises. Supermans. (Supermen?) These weird, tough heel raise things you do while in a V-sit.
Once again, I did have to do modifications. I would say I'm modifying about 1/4th of the time? I don't know, I'm not good at judging things like that (I WAS A COMMUNIATIONS/THEATER DOUBLE MAJOR OKAY?)
Let's end this one on another selfie, but this time, it's a post salon selfie! Got a trim and a blowout. (Let me tell you! Yesterday was crazy - I rushed home from work, did this workout, scarfed down some lunch, jumped in the shower, hauled it to get to the salon on time. All in like 2 hours.)
Have a great Friday everyone! Look out for T25 Day 5 and Hungry Girl Diet Week 1 posts hopefully by tomorrow!
