Meet Abby
Abby is my Abomasnow and today I will be talking about proper care and the usual things in the "Meet them" Series. But I will mention once again I am not an expert when it comes to these types of pokemon. This is my experience and my small research I have done to find out more about Abby.
Where to find them: They can be found in very snowy forests, mostly traveling with groups of Snover as they feel the need to look after them. It would be much wiser to try to catch a Snover than an Abomasnow in my opinion due to the Snovers losing their leader if you succeed in capturing the Abomasnow. Snover are fairly easily frightened and will run away allowing their large leaders to deal with anything that threatens them. So as with most Pokemon, it is wise to show you are of no threat to these little creatures.
Proper care: Abamasnow needs very cold temperatures to survive and thrive which is actually why Abby is not currently at my lab but with a friend of mine as they have a lab high in the mountain tops. From what I understand normal Pokemon food is fine for their diet but they also do need a fair amount of sunlight. The pine needles on their bodies will fall off from time to time and should probably be swept up if it's in your home.
Fun Facts: Abby actually very much enjoys hugs and will pick me up every time I come to visit. Snover will also headbutt you as a way of showing affection since they cannot grab you like an Abomasnow can. Abamasnow can actually make a good companion for other grass types that do not enjoy the cold. When traveling the snow covered mountains Abby had let a few of my Pokemon snuggle up to her as we walked so they may keep warm. Abamasnow also enjoy having many Snover around to teach and protect and this is another reason why Abby currently resides with my friend.
Mega Evolving: When Mega Evolving its core temperature drops way below zero causing the moisture in the air to collect on it's back very quickly forming the large icicles.It must now use both it's arms and legs to support these massive icicles on it's back thus making it a bit slower than it's prior form. Though their power as with most Mega Evolutions is greatly increased as they now possess the ability to cover a very large area in a blizzard with a meager effort.
Conclusion: Do not get an Abamasnow if you do not have the ability to let it roam in a very cold and snowy forest. I would also advise getting one if you do not have the proper place to also take care of a few Snover as even having a handful around will make your Abamasnow so much happier. But besides that they are loyal and very loving, always looking for hugs and attention from their trainer and due to them being an almost pack leader in the wild. Love being the center of attention.
