Review: When Netflix released Midnight Mass, I was obsessed. I had viewed the first trailer months before and had been patiently waiting for the series release date. It was both nothing and exactly like what I had expected from Mike Flanagan. Therein came a major problem, Midnight Mass would not be released in any other media format so I would never truly get to know what Flanagan intended. I was pleasantly surprised when this book was released not long after the premiere of Midnight Mass. This is the physical embodiment of DVD extras. A director’s commentary, actors commentary, behind the scenes access, all of it laid out on the page. Enjoyable not just to read what the process of creating the show was like but how the show affected the cast and crew. A quick read and a fun one.
