Anyone else really hoping Abby Roque and Abby Murphy won't be on the same team so we can see them go head to head, menace against menace. The refs won't know what to do.

Also, how do we know Murphy’s racist? I have seen a lot of posts saying she is, but none telling us how we found that out? Help a girl out pls.

I have seen some reactions to Abby Murphy’s response to the men’s team thing and a lot of people are saying a version of, I can’t believe that she isn’t sticking up for herself and her team, etc.

My take is that there is always a contingent of women who participate in a male dominated activity who genuinely believe that misogyny is the price that must be paid for entry. You’ll see them laugh, you’ll see them be very dismissive of the jokes and bad behavior and that’s because they believe that misogyny should be expected because they are intruding in those spaces. I don’t know Abby Murphy obviously, I don’t know her brain but I have known many girls/women like this especially those on the right. The instinct they have when something like that happens is to police other women’s reactions more than anything else because in the back of their heads they have a voice saying, “if you react too much they won’t like us and they won’t let us play! They’ll see us as just little girls”

Idk. I don’t have a solution to it, I know some women grow out of it. They figure out that the collective good comes from calling those things out, or they get old enough to realise that the target they have so casually upheld is going to be placed on their daughter’s back. Some never grow out of it.
