hypocritical (she always says one thing and does another)

super competitive (angry that Beckett made Detective two weeks younger then she did which is absurd)

weirdly incompetent (always favours the wrong solution)

never listens to anyone who isn't powerful or her direct superior (especially never listens to Beckett or the boys)

My Castle headcannon:

Perlmutter has always had a soft spot for Kate Beckett (non romantic) because he was a new guy/trainee/intern at the M.E.'s office and he hadn't even been there two weeks when he had to witness 19yo KB freak out upon seeing her dead mother.
