W4F - Euro Nymphing for Brook Trout with Chetola Resort Ken Tanaka of Wish4Fish is back on the water! This time Euro Nymphing or Tight Line Nymphing for Brook Trout in North Carolina with Jake Salthouse and Chetola Resort.
This stream was incredible and packed with small native North Carolina Brookies. I was using a dry fly as well as a Euro Nymphing also known as Tight Line Nymphing set up. For my dry fly I was using the Douglas Outdoors Upstream 7'6" 3wt with the Abel TR. For my Euro Nymphing I was using my Douglas Outdoors Upstream Plus 9' 4wt with the Abel SDF. Using both a dry fly and nymphing set ups was a deadly combo. I would first run through each pocket with the dry and then follow up nymphing. My flies I was using Fulling Mill Elk Wing Caddis for dries and the Krystal Caddis Olive for Euro Nymphing.
