My Abe visits the place we ‘met’. I’ve often told the story of how I played the demo of Abe’s Oddysee one afternoon with relatives when I was five years old, and it made such an impression that I remembered it for years afterwards without seeing it again. Well, my relatives still live in that house. The computer and desk are long gone, but I could still take you to the spot in the room where I stood, peering over a cousin’s shoulder at the screen, entranced by what I saw. No other game we played together left an impact like that one did.
