a couple of days ago i impulsively got bg3 and went 99% blind into it and i havent been the same ever since, i love it here so much

I'm deep in BG3 brainrot🙈😅 I'm in my 4th pt right now lol. I have a stand-by pt of my monk tav in act 3 cause the kiss animation with Astarion with a tav with body type 1 (the smollest one lol) is broken since patch 4. And yes, I'm becoming the kind of person who romances Astarion with every single tav I make😂

I'm curious to see your tavs so please show me whenever you can👀

Here are mine in chronological order of my pts:

Iriel - seldarine drow sorcerer

(the 2nd pt I did was Astarion's origin so no tav)

Ceres - half-elf monk (on stand-by until Larian fixes the kiss animation with Astarion in act 3 lol)

Nephalem - high-elf necromancer (current pt)

And yes, they're all head over heels in love with Astarion🙈😍

I... can't even remember what I sent you, but I gather it was about BG3 LOL I'm feeling much better. I haven't tried your cloud idea yet. I wanted to finish my Adaar run and I replayed DAO instead. Mainly because my friend said during our little Christmas break (we have 4ish days off for it and we're coworkers) he's getting it on his Xbox and I'm gonna go play it with him! Which means when the spiders come I can hide 🤣🤣 I DID make three "Tavs" before I gave up (and I'll be remaking one for the Xbox marathon).

All your Tavs (pts?? pcs??) look SO cool! I wasn't super pleased with how limited the faces were, but you did a great job making each unique. Silly Larian, fix the bug so Ceres can have a kiss! KISS KISS KISS! Oh, also, how is it playing a monk?? I had a tabaxi (cat person) monk in a campaign and she was so fun to rp, does it work out well in bg3?? I think Iriel's design in my favorite, though. I looove that half-buzz cut. Nephalem looks very suave and cool, too 😎

This is Karik, my Moon Circle Wildshaping half-elf Druid! And her dream guardian. I made her look like my current campaign's Tepin Pallis Cuautl Lozano, another Moon Circle Druid Wildshaper 🤭🤭🤭 I wanna romance Lae'zel, but I never met Wyll or Karlach, so... we'll see.

Then, there's Andry Cousland, my og Warden, Warrior-Archer human. I just wanted to see what she'd look like in BG3. Not bad🤔

how steep is the learning curve for a combat system like Baldur’s Gate III? like, I’ve seen some letsplays, and i know the DnD 5e combat mechanics very well. . .but how fussy or intuitive is it in video game format? i am seriously debating getting the early release, but i’m curious to hear from friends about how it plays compared to, say, Dragon Age: Inquisition.

man, realizing my bias for shadowheart kinda got in the way of more character interactions between my paladin durge and her, which would've made an interesting relationship between the two

like. bg3 spoilers ahead

the idea of them both having huge memory loss that they fill in with unshakable devotion since it's all they really have, but they're at odds with each other because it's paladin "protect the innocent and vulnerable" vs evil goddess "mercy in death" shar, but as dark urge there's The Horrors, and maybe this is my shadowheart bias talking but i do think she's a good person at her core

so they go their journey with a strained relationship but then they recover memories of who they are and shadowheart was actually a child of selune, a good goddess! and paladurge is bhaalspawn, incarnation of murder! how the tables have turned

shadowheart trying to recover herself and her goodness after having it taken away from her by an evil goddess alongside paladurge trying to maintain his goodness despite his existence and purpose being driven by an evil god

though it could also be like... he succumbs to the dark urge and she's changed to good and he's changed to evil, or she stays evil and he switches. lots of options, maybe romance would've been fun?

but no i totally wrote off shadowheart as a romance option for my paladurge bc i'm saving her for my self insert gnome because, like, goth gf and hippy hunk halsin polycule, hello??

also my paladurge is just cute with karlach, the idea of him swearing a paladin oath to her, totally devoted to her, willing to fight all of avernus just to keep her alive and safe

i knew about it, but actually playing it had me in tears mind you, i quicksaved prior but i just had to see it firsthand
