This moment is endlessly fascinating to me.

It was presented to us as something completely ordinary and commonplace, zero ambiguity, when it's actually a pretty intimate position with a lot of body contact. The simple fact it happened IS ambiguous in itself. But what is more telling and damning to me is Eddie's comfort level.

I think I would buy the whole 'it:s racist to be mad at Eddie for reacting violently' thing a lot more, if the same standards applied to other in-universe Latinos.

Mateo Chavez would never. Nor would his identical cousin Marvin. Tommy Vega would never. Nor would Carlos Reyes or his parents Adrianna and Gabriel. Nor Josephine, Isabel, Ramon or Christopher Diaz.

It's not a Latino thing. It's specifically an Eddie thing. Eddie would lash out physically if he were white, Black, or orange with purple spots. That's who he specifically is, and has been shown to be basically from jump. It's gross and disingenuous to claim otherwise.
