How do Jenna and Elena feel about Alaric and Hope?
I mean they’re both Hope ships so they definitely both like her 😂
but Jenna... Jenna has a mostly standard “you annoy me but you’re my dad and I love you” relationship with Alaric, but she definitely resents how often he neglects she and her sisters for Hope — she loves Hope and wants Hope to have love and support but she thinks Alaric needs to get his shit together and remember that he has three daughters and an entire school to look out for too
Elena honestly sort of hates her dad. Like Elena is beyond miserable at the Salvatore School. She hates it so much, it’s slowly destroying her, so often she wishes she hadn’t been born — but Alaric refuses to even consider letting her go to a normal school, and always makes her feel so guilty and selfish for even asking. Right up until he’s fired and ends up teaching at Mystic Falls High, then it’s fine. So like yeah no she resents him a lot, hates him a lot, and spends a lot of time calling him out for being a hypocrite, a shitty dad, and a bad teacher
