Thank you for the tag, @litsenn! I enjoyed reading through your answers—literary translation is such a cool field! Hoping everything works out so you can stick to it <3

Origins of your blog's name:
Not sure if this refers to handle or title, so I'll do both. My handle, lilhumanoid, is just a silly way of describing myself lol. At a very basic level I'm just a human(oid) who's not very tall 😂 I also enjoy reading about paranormal stuff and cryptid/humanoid encounters, even though I don't believe 95% of it.
Professional em dash user is a bit of a PSA really: I use em dashes, I started using them in journalism school/jobs, and I'm not gonna stop even though people who don't read think AI invented it (—! —! —!).
My 'I'll always order this' food:
Chana masala, or anything with chickpeas really.
😌 I exude faux calmness I guess lol
Current comfort movie, show, and book:
Movie: The original Alice in Wonderland has been my comfort movie since day one! Also The Babadook and The Shining.
Show: Tower of God!! I can't recommend it enough omg
Book: I recently revisited a YA novel I read in high school called Fat Kid Rules the World. It's about self-acceptance and punk rock 🤘🏻
Hayloft II by Mother Mother 🖤
My current hyperfixation:
BG3 of course! And D&D more broadly. I bought the new Forgotten Realms books and was gifted Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, which is all horror-themed D&D stuff.
Oddly specific thing that brings me joy:
That thing of when a character is guarded and/or rude to everyone except the one (1) person they bond closely with, but since there's only that one (1) person, the character isn't great at showing their love and gets a lil possessive and weird and has to learn better in real-time.
What smell makes me happy:
Nag champa incense! It was always burning in my house growing up.
Something I loved as a kid and secretly still do:
It's not a secret anymore, but Pokémon! I was into it from ages like 6-12, then pretended not to be into it anymore for about a decade, and now I'm fully back in.
Phone wallpaper right now:
I'm using a wallpaper from the merch section of the Bound by Blood Astarion fanzine. Not gonna repost it here just in case, but it's free to access at the link ^
Are you an early bird or a night owl:
Night owl! Always have been. I remember being eight years old reading under the covers until 2am or later, then going through hell trying to wake up for school.
If you work, what is your profession and how do you like it:
I'm in marketing. It's fine! I studied to be a science/data journalist, but the industry has so many issues, so few job openings in desirable locations, and pretty low pay across the board. I transitioned to marketing and have bounced between industries a bit.
I'm currently a marketing manager at a nonprofit and just got an offer for a higher level role at a different company that I'll probably accept. I don't mind the work because I love to write and have a good head for strategy. I have fundamental qualms with advertising though and hope to transition out of the field in a few years (either by going back for a PhD or becoming an indie author or... something, idk).
What's your favourite joke you told recently:
Earlier today, I hung up after a call with somebody called Brett who was being Very Annoying. I said as an aside to my partner that "Brett" sounds like the noise you make when you start vomiting gods I hope none of my followers are named Brett I swear I was just being catty about this one (1) specific Brett
