Hello! I'd like to apply for contributor when they open, but I am curious. What are the responsibilities of a mod? I'd like to gain more experience with zines so I am curious. Thank you ^^
Hello! I’m glad you’re interested in the project!
So, the main role of a mod is to make sure the project they’re modding succeeds without many problems, while also making the experience enjoyable for the rest of the contributors. Mods are usually assigned a couple of roles they are in charge of (For example, I am in charge of organizing, social media and finances, and Mod Colours is in charge of organizing, graphic design, and formatting), but they need to be ready to assist other mods when they need help in their tasks.
Example: when we receive an ask of something we haven’t discussed about before, the available mods will come together to give an answer to that question. Another example is giving the graphic designer feedback on the graphics they make, or sending emails, keeping up with the discord chat, etc.
Modding a zine is pretty time-consuming, and sometimes you want to pull your hair out when you’re facing a problem out of the blue, but it’s also very fun and rewarding.
Once you have a taste of what modding is like, you’ll probably get addicted to it :’D
I can go into more detail about it (people who know me from my previous projects know I love rambling about this topic), so hit our inbox if you want!
Lots of love,
Mod Lie
It’s kind of neat that I have to still update my mod site so often--because new mods are still being released to warrant it.
Of course, it also means that I have to keep re-doing my mod stack with trial and error each time a new mod comes out that I want to try. I stopped counting the mods I use after I hit 100.
On the other OTHER hand, i’m also up to like 15 ReShade presets that I can now freely switch between. Thanks, ReShade 4.0+! Soooo much easier. And also finally, finally found a ReShade which fixes the horrid coloring in the CC.
So, yeah. Still modding and playing DAI after 4 years, and problably will keep modding and playing it until DA4 comes out.
