Just realized (even though I’m probably not the first one) these panels kinda’ look similar!

They’ve both even got Sonic thinking “Oh, crap. Something’s gonna’ happen.”

I only realized this after @nightfurylover31 pointed it out to me during God Complex's development.

You could call it Sonic's trademark "Oh @#$!" face lol

Is anyone gonna talk about this? Because I think this is important...

Despite how long Sonic and Eggman have been enemies, Sonic is STILL hopeful that someday, somehow, Eggman will turn over a new leaf.

I don’t really know if it was JUST seeing Eggman as Mr. Tinker that gave him this attitude, or if it’s just something he’s felt since the beginning... but I think it’s really touching and shows just how good of a person Sonic is.

He’s the type to look for the good in everyone, even if they’re rotten to the core. We saw it even with Metal Sonic after he was defeated, despite all the times Metal Sonic has tried to destroy him, Sonic was still willing to let him have a chance. And he’s also the type to never really give up on seeing the good in people. He’s still hopeful that Eggman will change his ways, despite all he’s done and despite all the grudges Sonic himself may personally hold against him... He is STILL willing to hope for the best, like always.

I just love this about Sonic, okay? And this issue was great...

If you've been asked this before I do apologize, but how'd you get into Sonic, and what in particular made you big enough of a fan to want to make fancomics for it?

Apologies for the long answer in advanced...

I've always sorta enjoyed Sonic. Like... I can't remember a time before I knew he was a thing. There was not really a proper "getting into" moment. He's just always been there....

When I was growing up, though, liking Sonic was a sure fire way to have people think you were weird cos of the way the internet treated the franchise in the 2010s so I was sorta... a closeted fan. I liked Sonic but always enjoyed it in secret. It wasn't until the movies came out and I matured enough to not really give a crap what other people thought of me that I dove in head first into actually enjoying the thing I enjoyed.

I can't say there's anything particular that made me a big enough fan to wanna do fan comics? I make art and stories for any series I heavily enjoy. Especially when there's specific stories I want to see told (such as a Sonic robotization). It's more so that I saw Sonic as the first series where I could take that work I already liked to do and potentially pursue a real job with it so I put that work on the internet.
