I read your comic last week for the first time, for some reason I had never bumped into it before!! So today is the first time I am reading a newly uploaded page and the feeling exchilarating! But since I'm new to your story, is sonadow going to be endgame? I feel like you've been dropping hints 🤭😶
since youre new im going to repeat it now but since ive gotten asks from other ppl also:
it's true that im constantly pushing sonic and shadow closer together to think about themselves, the other, and their relationship with eachother. (theres a lot i could talk about here but i'd rather let u read it for urself in the comic) BUT this is not a romance comic and you shouldn't expect anything romantic from it.
yes, sonic and shadow are going through a lot and we are seeing them change and develop, and yes i drop gay hints here and there that im glad to be picked up and if you want to read it as romantic then go ahead! Honestly it's great when ppl see the queer experiences in this. You're free to talk about it to me, as long as it's like. in a mature manner and not "kyaa nosebleed shadow was so hot in that page" or "x3 cute gay spikey bbys snuggle" (thats fetishizing of gay people and im having none of it)
BUT and there are no "ships" or "shipping" in my comic itself. i just want to focus on relationships, lore, actions, emotions, hardships, etc. etc.
It feels... a little sad when the comic gets reduced to "a ship" because that's entirely not the focus of it. I admit i focus a lot on sonic and shadow at the moment, but thats mainly because i used to only write for shadow so i needed to get into the other characters over a while and starting with sonic was the easiest.
TLDR or whatever i'll put it in the FAQ
is it a sonadow comic? No.
are sonic and shadow queer? yes, yes they are.
does the comic happen to have sonic and shadow and a tight and corelated character development of them in it? Yes.
is the intention of that development an emerging of romantic feelings or any other fantasy of them "getting together"? No. There's no romance, and no dating.
is the comic challenging the idea of what it means to have a close bond with people? yes, not everything is about romance or dating. they're aromantic btw. (shadow even is triple a)
