Full Name: Tala Marisol O’Connell Pronunciation of their name (first, middle name(s) and last): TALL-uh mawr-ee-SOL oh-KON-nuhl Nickname(s): None Sex: Female Gender identity: Cis Race/species: Human/Magician (It’s not really a different race, more like how Neanderthal DNA got mixed into Homo sapiens.This mystery species had the powers and sometimes the genes combine correctly for the powers to come through) Ethnicity: ¼ Dominican, ¼ Filipina, ½ Irish

Age: 22 How old they appear: between 16 and 22 depending on her makeup, how she’s dressed, and who’s trying to guess Mental age: Ancient. Jk. She’s mature for her age, but not unusually so. Orientation/Sexual preference: She doesn’t really put a label on it. Any history behind their sexual orientation?: Not particularly Do they believe it's right?: She sees nothing wrong with it Are they opposed for their sexual orientation?: Not really, cause it rarely comes up.

Hair: Red, wavy

Eyes: light blue.

Skin tone: medium olive with freckles

Height: 5’3”-5’4” somewhere in there.

Build: curvy

Piercings: 4 sets on her ears. Also a bellybutton ring (16 years old when she made an impulse buy).

Type of Magician: Elemental, Stone/Earth/Ground (Whatever you call it. She’s kinda like an Earth Bender)

Mark placement. It’s on her right side higher up on the rib cage. Basically it would be covered by a bra’s band.

1. What type of modern style of clothing would your OC wear? And what do they like to wear around their world the most?

Tala would mostly wear leggings, skinny jeans, or shorts for the bottom with either a tank top, sweater, or plaid shirt for the top. For footwear she’d either wear sneakers or boots. Would sometimes wear a skirt or dress if she’s feeling girly. During the colder weather, she’d wear long cloaks, coats, and boots.

8. What would their house/bedroom look like?

In my modern AU for Tala, she shares a decent-sized apartment with her brother, Riel, who moved to the city for college. Her room isn’t very big but big enough to fit in everything she needs. Her bedroom window allows a lot of sunlight to pour into her room, making it bright and cheerful during the day. She has bookshelves filled with her favorite artbooks and novels; potted plants decorate her room to remind her of her home back in the countryside. There’s a closet containing all her clothing and shoes; a little work desk with her laptop on it. [ x ]  [ x ]  [ x ]  [ x ]

In the living room, Tala and Riel have set up their old gaming console (which they brought from home) so that they would play games during the evenings after Riel is done with studying and after Tala is done with work.

9. What type of car would they drive?

Cars would be too expensive for her. She much prefers riding a bike to get around to places. Not only is it good exercise and keeps her fit, she also loves the sense of freedom she feels whenever she’s on it. And sometimes, she just likes to stop and take in her surroundings.

Did Tala ever see Jaren again after Tresspasser? What did they do/say to each other?

Ah! Good question! To be honest, I haven’t really thought of whether she meets Jaren again after Trespasser. (She probably does, but I haven’t developed any concrete headcanons for it yet.)

However, she did meet him again somewhere in between the two years after the end of DA:I but before the events of Trespasser when she went to Wycome to visit her clan. As for what they did/say to each other, they go somewhere private, catch up on things, a bit of drama ensues... Then some kissing (and probably a bit of intense makeout) which Tala then cuts short. (Because the poor girl still has a certain other elf in her broken heart. :P)

Kes fact: her hair is short because she set it on fire more than once by accident.

I’d probably keep my hair short as well if the same thing happened to me. xD

After the defeat of Corypheus, Tala grows her hair out and by the events of Trespasser, her hair is long and slightly past her shoulders. (Like this.)

When did Solas start referring to Tala by her first name?

Solas began calling Tala by her first name by the time they’ve started getting intimate with each other. Prior to that, he’d call her by her titles (Herald or Inquisitor) by which he still calls her that whenever they’re in public. Him calling her by her first name is mainly during their private moments together.

Kallen Lavellan wears a rose quartz necklace that her parents made together, to represent their love for each other and for their daughter. It's one of her most treasured possessions. :3

I’ve mentioned this before but one of Tala’s treasured possessions is a hunting dagger crafted by her father. The other being her brother’s Sylvanwood ring. (The story behind those items can be be seen here: [x])

She misses her family and having those items with her at all times makes her feel like they’re always with her.

oc fact exchange; Ashanna personally trained each and every one of the mounts used by her inner circle, and selected them based on their temperaments. For example, she chose a large, gentle mare for Sera who was not used to riding and would be patient with an inexperienced rider (Sera named her Carrots).

That’s interesting! Now I’m interested to know what Ashanna chose for the rest of the inner circle! :D

Regarding mounts, a lot of people thought that harts would have been Tala’s preferred choice but were surprised when the dracolisks became her favorite. While Tala finds the harts beautiful, she finds the sounds they make to be a little bit annoying. [x] xD
