in this post, let's learn the Basics of Omegaverse! Take this also as guide in writing, drawing, creating an omegaverse story.

SOCIAL

Alpha is an elite in the society, top of hierarchy while Omega is the lowest.

Betas are in between the two main verse (Alpha&Omega) they're common/natural secondary gender. The neutrals!

Like in real world, this verse have inequality especially treating the Omegas badly. They look down on them.

Alphas are meant to be stable and 'perfect' while Omegas are pictured as emotional and fragile gender.

PHYSICAL

Alphas are more built than Beta, Omegas look younger to show their beauty, and one way to get a mate.

Alpha is sensitive to scents of Omega, especially when Omegas are in heat. Their instinct would control over and mate the Omegas.

Omegas are hypersensitive during heat.

Omegas can only mate one by letting an Alpha bite their nape, that mark will last till his/her death.

Omegas possibly dies when their mate leaves them caused by: struggle of acceptance, severe stress, depression, emotional breakdown, etc.

When Alphas died, their Omegas could find another mate or die as well (could live when they have a child).

SEXUAL

Female and male Omegas can be impregnated/bring offspring.

Alphas and male Betas cannot be impregnated.

Female Alphas have penis, it pops out in their vagina when erect. Most story says the clitoris is the penis and it will enlarge and become long when erect.

Alphas can mate how many as they like as long as they are responsible.

Mating occurs when Alpha bites the nape of the Omega during heat.

Both gender of Betas could control their sexual activity and urges. They slightly sense the scent of Alpha/Omega especially if it's strong.

Male Omegas have both genitals, their vagina opens during heat at their rectum, closing the waste canal.

IN SOME STORY...

Usually, Omegas are getting attacked during their heat and might as well end up marked/impregnated by an Alpha.

Alpha fights the urges not to mate with an Omega who seemingly wanted it. Basically, both gender can be written as using their gender to take advantage of the other party.

Omegas are traumatized or either have someone's child who raped them.

Alphas hate Omegas but ended up falling in love with one. (These Alphas are usually kind and loyal!)

Alpha mates with Omegas for fun and leaves them in sorrow.

Omegas fuck around Alphas because he try to heal from trauma or have revenge.

Omega despised the Alphas because of their parents' issue/family problems.

Alpha falling in love to someone's mate (who may also have a child).

[ud: 021923, 051223] the secondary gender (alpha, beta, and omega) have each roles in the society, and they all have different types or kind of identities. some looks deceiving because of their genetic/blood line/ancestors (e.g. an omega that looks like an alpha since he has an abnormal genes, as in built).

ALPHA

both gender has 20% population.

they're normally in high rank position in the society's hierarchy such as ceo, politician, and such...

MALE -> they can be the receiver, but they cannot be impregnated. it takes alot of pride and battle for domination (sometimes this can lead to violence, hurting each other) to make them submit and be the receiver/bottom. if it's pairing with dom omega, this might weaken their strength to fight for their pride. + height: 178cm - 210cm (5'10" - 6'9")

FEMALE -> [Type A] female alphas are commonly known to have penis to impregnate their partner, and will never have a vagina (because what's the use??)(e.g. image: trans WtM).

[Type B] this type of females are unusual to be born with only female reproductive system (aka vulva/vagina), (and some cases can bare a child by 20-30%) but of course, they're considered to be a power bottom alpha.

[Type C] just like omega male, but their front is a vulva and their penis pops out from inside the vagina when erect. they cannot be pregnant, they instead will impregnate the other party. + height: 176cm - 195cm (5'9" - 6'5")

SUBMISSIVE ALPHA -> this type of alphas are extremely rare (1% population) they have higher chance to be the bottom/receiving position for their partner (no, they cannot bring offspring). they're preferred to be match with dominant omega. when they're in rut, they cannot be violent but be desperate to mate/plead to impregnate someone. (e.g. image: needy men) + height: 177cm - 185cm (5'9" - 6'1")

OMEGA

both gender has 10% population.

they're usually sold as prostitute, involved in human trafficking, or normalized to be a house husband/wife...

MALE -> [Type A] they're commonly born to have both genitals, and can bring offspring (no vagina, see the reproductive system drawn above).

[Type B] in rarest case, they may not have the reproductive system of female reproductive system which causes them not to be impregnated/someone that cannot bare a child. + height: 160cm - 176cm (5'3" - 5'9.6")

FEMALE -> simple: they don't have a penis, only a vulva. they experience heat and bring offspring. + height: 151cm - 174cm (4'11" - 5'8.4")

DOMINANT OMEGA -> just like the sub alpha, dom omegas are very rare (1.5-2% population). they use their pheromones for dominance, yet they're still weak (like when throwing punches and such other violence, for short: physically weak) they're an omega afterall. they will also be called power bottom, surely. when in heat, there's a possibility they can't control their dominant pheromones to stop or/and call an alpha. but if your preference is like "strong women" could be powerful or whatsoever, you can!

[Type A] they prefer being the lead, stays top. they also look like an alpha since they have this abnormal/unique genes.

[Type B] power bottom, they either look masculine/feminine. (e.g. image: dominatrix)

[Type C] prefers being switch, front and back stimulation is exciting. + height: 170cm - 180cm (5'7" - 5'11")

BETA

both gender has 70% population.

quite average, it depends in their intelligence where they should be placed but they are in between the hierarchy of the ABO verse.

MALE -> their scent are like alpha's but weaker, only there to help the omega's heat. they can control their sexual activities. they have the male human reproductive system. (note: most commonly, no betas could release pheromones) + height: 175cm - 182cm (5'8.5" - 6'0")

FEMALE -> their scent are like omega's but weaker, only there to help the alpha's rut. (still not recommended, alphas are known to be violent) they can control their sexual activities. they have the female human reproductive system. + height: 155cm - 174cm (5'1" - 5'8.4")

MUTANT BETA -> this are known to be myth, these betas change their secondary gender by puberty (15-20 of age) in possibility of 1-5% (i think it's more like a late bloomer development). it said to be caused by ancestors, family's health relation, always surrounded by or having sex constantly with an alpha/omega or force of marking/to be marked. + height depends on which gender they are.

BONUS (a summary) alternative name: "VERSE BETA" -> these betas have a chance to become an alpha or omega depending on their genes, puberty, environment or connection with people. [verse means switch]

in this post, i'll be sharing you the relationship of secondary genders (e.g. Alpha to Alpha, Beta and Omega) something like what/how/why they react when this verse is around or with them.

ALPHA

with fellow Alpha

alpha x alpha -> this is a fight between 2 doms, their pride is important and they won't submit that easily to the other. think about 2 boys being a brat fighting over who will take the passenger seat or getting score with a girl.

alpha x sub alpha -> pretty much compatible since it'll be easy to dominate the other, but some scenarios the alpha won't get easily hard. no they cannot knot the other.

sub alpha x alpha -> think about submissive top with his dominant alpha, but of course, as i mentioned, alpha's pride is important. so this may not happen since alphas doesn't wanna submit/be the receiver.

sub alpha x sub alpha -> just imagine 2 subs pleasing one another's needs. it's like cute preschool lovers that love seeing their partner happy. yes, one can top but still a sub. it's like a switch relationship.

with an Omega

alpha x omega -> common, we know what type of relationship this is. but mostly the author write this as omega's in heat, alpha accidentally mating the omega, etc. in conclusion, think about a relationship of dom/sub.

alpha x dom omega -> 2 doms but the omega is still a bottom. think about a relationship where the alpha is a brat tamer when their omega tease the fuck out of them. this can also cause fights but if the dom omega knows how to use their pheromones, this might weaken their alpha (or worse, excite more and get to submit which give them a chance to be the dom).

sub alpha x omega -> it works, but 2 subs in a relationship. alpha still tops, but doesn't use their pheromones to scare their omega but to feel more safe. it's like an image of soft/lovely bf.

sub alpha x dom omega -> great pairing tbh, it's like a relationship of a guy treating his gf like a queen cause she's spoiled who love having what she wants.

with the Beta

alpha x beta -> it depends if the beta is male or female. if it's female, then it's gonna hurt like a bitch if the alpha knot her (sometimes the pregnancy rate be approximately 50-70% chancy). for male, if they ask for the alpha to be bottom, the answer is a NO. if in rut, it's gonna be troublesome since the alpha is active.

sub alpha x beta -> simple: submissive/gentle alpha and their beta partner that takes the cock up their ass/vagina.

BETA

with fellow Beta

beta x beta -> just like human beings, they don't have heat cycle nor rut. they have no problem in sexual activities. well unless, it's a personal thing because each individual have their own ways/ideals in sex.

with the Omega

beta x dom omega -> the omega's pheromones ain't gonna work on the beta, so they gotta try their best to control their beta. this is like a tall, chill guy with his cranky smol gf.

beta x omega -> yes, beta can control their sexual activity but they can't control the omega's heat. there'll be around 20-35% chance of the omega getting impregnated during heat, so if they want a child, he gotta try harder, yanno? ;) betas cannot knot them nor mark as mate. i suggest that omega wears their choker at all cost. if omega's partner is beta female, it'll be some kind of lesbian with strap-on dildo. LOL

with an Alpha

beta x alpha -> oh, naw baby, this ain't gon' work- but if the alpha tries to threaten the beta (mostly with pheromones), it's not gonna work by 89-92%.

beta x sub alpha -> it works, since the alpha is okay with being a bottom. he pleas for that cock ùwú

OMEGA

with fellow Omega

dom omega x omega -> as i said earlier, both omegas cannot mark nor knot one another. but they can still please one another's needs. dom omegas can top. just think of two best friends from novels, 1 is a bad ass while the other is softie/girlish.

omega x omega -> just like the relationship of alpha x alpha, but make it extremely adorable. this is such a wholesome relationship, but it's gonna be difficult and dangerous since one another can't mark themselves nor knot and can result to alphas attacking them, definitely when in heat. 2 omegas in heat together in 1 room can please each other, either calms them down or attract alphas, your choice.

omega x dom omega -> just like alpha x dom omega, but make the omega more of a cry baby pov. but i think this isn't a good idea to write.

dom omega x dom omega -> just 2 bottoms, they might fuck. just think about 2 lesbians scissoring or pleasing one another with a dildo. this give me brat x brat vibe too. overall, no difference to previous relationships of each gender.. may switch who tops.

with an Alpha

omega x alpha -> bro, you ok? no, i just cannot imagine it.

omega x sub alpha -> 2 bottoms? nah.

dom omega x alpha -> it works, since i saw some webtoons with omegas having a physique like an alpha yet they're still an omega in the end. they just need to show their dominance and deal with their alpha's so-called-pride to submit. basically, overpowering them by triggering scent sensitivity.

dom omega x sub alpha -> oh, it's really gonna work big time since the sub alpha is easy to deal with.

with the Beta

omega x beta -> ehhhhhh, not compatible.

dom omega x beta -> yeah, this could work. like what i said in the dom omega x alpha, but except betas can't be triggered by the pheromones to dominate.

title of manga doesn't make any sense at first. now beyond analyzing the content, it makes a lot of sense, it's really deep and that passionate story.

the manga cover seems interesting, though it's common position of main characters except it has few details based on story. now take a good look, it already shows who's the uke (bottom) here. details here is the lace of the collar around the seme (top)'s neck shows being entangled with the omega except it's loose, showing that he's giving the alpha a chance to leave him.

the art style of characters being drawn was very good especially for Leo, he isn't like any common omega in omegaverse mangas.

throughout reading every panel and pages, you'll notice some easter eggs as teaser for next chapter like the part where a random alpha offered money to Leo in exchange of having sex.

character development was slow and taking its time, it was good. it's not rush except for the sex scene. each of their personality also differ, you'll know whose fault is it in the first place.

it's nothing cliché, the backstory was really deep and explains how a person was made. it hits angst especially when the two of them has POV.

if i remember correctly, they don't have sex everytime they meet which almost not considered yaoi. i'm not complaining, it's worth the wait and read. sex count: 2

i love it, it's a heartwarming ending which leave us readers to be satisfied with how they ended up + need for more because it was so good, there's really potential to continue.

-> NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

on the manga cover, their expression was the opposite throughout me reading the manga. the alpha is more joyful and carefree while the omega is opposite, he easily gets irritated and is cold. although the clothing was teasing, shows seduction but we don't need it for alpha. would be good if omega was gripping it, it shows desperation or makes sense of having the alpha having his shirt open.

the story flow has cliffhangers and some parts lack of details or information, though if you don't pay attention or think about it much, it's an okay story flow.

the side characters wasn't introduced much, only pops up in random page or in certain panel but i understand, we focus on 'main characters' after all. i don't even remember their names but i know, Leo's friends are 2 omegas, and 1 beta.

sex scene was kind of bland, the hands carried. also goes in wrong timing, but i get it, it's to fit in the yaoi genre.

setting/place was limited, i remember only 3 are shown most of the time: school, store, house... the date carried.

always shows a shock expression, leaving me confused. it's sudden, but it'll be explained soon after.

would be good w.o being in student plot, e.g. having them meet in store where alpha works. they infact don't look teenager, but around 20's.

not going to lie, side characters also has potential to have their own story and lacks POV even for a bit, give them a chance! T T would love to read it when the author decided to make their stories.
