Did it really take me till just now, to realize that Claude Faustus was a spider themed butler (spider butler = kumo shistuji) as a pun opposing Sebastian as a black (in regards to outfit colour) themed butler? (black butler = kuro shitsuji)

This is more of a follow-up to abybweisse's May 28, 2021 submission of "Bardroy 'Bard; Baldroy," but given that we now know that (a) Sebastian first referred to him as "Mr. Baldroy." generally a form of address used with surnames; (b) his son went by "Baldo Jr.," with the Jr. suffix usually based on a shared first name... This is so super-cursed, but I really do think that's as good an indication as any that Baldo's full name is, canonically, "Baldroy Baldroy." It's not even all that unusual if he can trace his family line that far back for surnames to eventually become given names. ....Even so, poor Baldo😔

I’m still taking submissions for Bard/Baldo, since it could just be his son also goes by his last name. (They have the same first name, but neither of them goes by their first name, so it’s “Baldo” and “Baldo Jr”, instead.)

Unless there’s been a translation error about first versus last name (and I doubt it in this case), then Baldroy is his last name:

completely self indulgent but if vincent and rachel were both gay and knew there was no way around it in the 1800s they can just marry each other then see other ppl in peace. an idea that also makes me sad bc i love vincent and rachel’s relationship so i don’t want them to not be married and in love, but i also love vindee. tryin to find a middle-ground lolol

Hello there! @abybweisse Sorry for taking the liberty of replying like this, but the post was starting to get too long to reblog haha

I think our misunderstanding doesn't necessarily come from us having different opinions, but from us focusing on different things about the panel. In this particular instance, I'm not talking about why Lizzy chose to wear them for the occasion. In my opinion, wearing low-heeled shoes is likely by now second-nature to her. She may not even have that many heels anymore since she can't use them lol

So that’s not the point I’m trying to make. I'm focusing only on what the shoes represent, in the story, as used by Yana. And what they represent are sacrifices and feelings inspired by O!Ciel rather than his brother.

Glad we agree on the general gist of it, though!
