When I was a kid, I wrote a Tenth Walker fanfic that falls in love with Eomer. I named her "Zaileth: Daughter of the Sandstorm". She was a "reformed" Easterling and no, I do NOT have the time to unpack the Respectability Politics that dictated that decision. Either way, she was basically my self insert and her spirit still exists in my writing to this day as Isabella "Zero" Shatterglass in Remedial Class of Lumen High.
