Codextober 2025 - Day 20 : Future

The Staff of Hermes is the only reason Basim lives in the modern era, I mean, the “future”. Sometimes I feel like it’s Basim who’s the true “Heir of Memories”, not Layla. Anyways, I rarely ever say anything about my art but this one turned out absolutely STUNNING!

Valhalla Memes part 1/∞

In which I no longer have anything to do in Valhalla so instead I turn to memes, mostly featuring my favourite blorbos and no sense of cohesion.

For a while, she swore she wouldn't fall in love. But then Basim kissed her. He kissed her only once, but her lips were longing for another kiss. It wasn't love, but a mania. If it weren't for Loki, they would have been together by now. And then she offered him a deal. She will give Aletheia a physical form, so she will unite them with Loki. In return, I will allow him and Basim to be together in this way. Loki promised to discuss everything with Aletheia. Two days later, he gave an answer.

Codextober 2025 - Day 16 : Animus

For today, I went with the Abstergo logo. Basim has used the Animus a lot and even experienced the bleeding effect. If I’m not mistaken, the Animus that went from Layla to the Assassins’ team and eventually to Basim, belonged to Abstergo. So, I decided to make the company’s logo the focus of my calligraphy. I wrote the word “Animus/انیموس” on each side of the triangle.

Once more procrastinating and therefore making up for that with more memes, this time featuring more characters that are not Basim or Hytham!

Technology - no. Books - yes. Basim didn't like computers and smartphones much, even though he was the reincarnation of Isu. He believed that these "building blocks" significantly slowed down the development of humanity. Instead of learning how to use the new app, Basim preferred to spend time with a book. When he found out about memes, Tik Tok, YouTube, and Spotify, he said that people were wasting their time. Isu created technologies purely for the benefit of others, built simulations, tried to change reality, and wanted to use calculations to predict the future. Basim believed that people could have learned to control their technology with their minds a long time ago. However, the temptations and the endless and chaotic flow of information prevented them from doing so. He probably didn't like having a mentor. Layla has repeatedly helped him with human technology. He saw how well children handled their smartphones on the streets, and he was annoyed by his own lack of skill in certain areas. But he was a very patient student. Or was it Layla who was a patient teacher? Books did not require the help of a mentor.

"However, his human nature could not resist watching videos of cats. In addition, he liked to watch cooking recipes. He was also interested in UFC. He also studied car repair and neural networks".

And when the Hermes rod stopped communicating with Basim, Layla figured out how to transfer the communication to a messenger. Basim then said that he had saved her for a reason.

- You're working too much, Layla, - Basim said. - We're going to Turkey.

Layla knew that she wouldn't be able to relax in Turkey. Loki is pulling Basim to Turkey. And if Loki is involved, trouble is sure to follow. They tracked down a major drug dealer in Istanbul who was in charge of smuggling artifacts. Presumably, this person had another apple of Eden. And this artifact could lead Loki to one of his children. Everything went smoothly at first. Basim's charm paved the way for an introduction to the person selling the artifact. And then... They were arrested by the Turkish police, spent two days in an Istanbul prison as drug dealers, escaped from prison, and stole an artifact. Then Basim stole a boat, and they got away from the chase.

Layla's diary entry: "This August is the most amazing."
