“For the safety of my people, Loki. For Aesir. For Vanir. For all of Asgard.”
“But not for the Jotnar. Not for me.”
Continuing my Replay of AC Valhalla, I am reminded just how self-serving and a traitorous Havi always was. I mean, I came to that conclusion when the game came out but seeing it again really doesn’t hold back. And I find it so beautifully fascinating that in the Isu plotline, Loki is portrayed as both part Jotnar and Aesir, but claims the jotnar as his people. I knew the Aesir saw him less than/ beneath them. It’s evident and they don’t hold back in their words against him. Or with how malnourished he looks compared to them.
Blood oath or not prior to the events in Asgard, I think if given the option, Havi would not have shared the mead with Loki. Because other than the blood oath, Havi always did view Loki as beneath him. The events of Asgard was just his poorly veiled excuse to exclude him. And Loki knew that.
He’s valid in feeling betrayed and wrathful; for himself and his son. Fuck. Havi.
