You COMPLETELY missed the point of my ask. Note that I said NO/POOR representation of women in general which, you know, INCLUDES black women and it was also framed as a hypothetical. You know why I made the ask about white women? Because the POINT was to show that even if white women weren't being represented, they STILL should support Black Panther b/c it has a POC lead. Wanting something to bomb because it doesn't PERFECTLY represent you is shitty. I should know since I'm NEVER represented

So while I’m not the mod you are specifically addressing with this I am going to say the point you think was missed that you think you made was never actually made because even though you framed it as: “Well, I was wondering if the same would hold true for white women and Black Panther if it has no/poor representation of women?” The entire thing is about white women as you clearly illustrate here: “Would it be okay for white women to hope Black Panther bombs/doesn’t get a sequel in that case?” So what’s being missed in your ask exactly? And how is what you said suppose to translate to: you support a PoC lead no matter what? Like on what planet does what you said translate to what you’re saying right now? 

Reality check: It doesn’t and it seems like you’re just trying to cover you ass when it’s so easy to look back and see EXACTLY what you said.

Oh, and you know, regarding the "impatient" issue -- I'd submitted asks before (such as when I sent that academic paper citation about hijra) and had always gotten in response within 24 hours. So I sent in another ask after a few days with no response and then one here to make sure they were getting through. If you don't want to answer the question, fine, but please don't treat me as though I'm gullible or insult my intelligence by telling me I'm "impatient".

I answered your question. And you know maybe you don’t understand hard it is to have personal problems and still have people making demands on my time but you know what? I’m not perfect and I’m certainly not here for your constant nagging questions whenever you feel like it. I had every right to think you were white with the way you phrased your questions. You have no idea what my life is like or what I’ve been going through. I have every right to ignore questions that I don’t feel strong enough to answer.

Well. I'm not white, although I myself am never represented anyway, except when I see people that look like my dad and brother "represented" as terrorists. #2. I don't see how it's a false equivalence at all. It seems more like you have a double standard, to be honest.

Sooooo… let me get this straight because I perceive that you are fighting for white women by REPEATEDLY asking these questions:

I honestly felt like you’re trying to make up some ridiculous scenario wherein if I say that “yes white women should support black panther even if it has no white women” I’d play into your trap just so you can say gotcha! As if white women in the MCU fandom haven’t shown incredible amounts of racism/racialized misogyny, and tend to blame us for shit we never did. Even tho AC’s was whitewashed. Even tho the only Jewish character is only referenced as character development for a white man. And I still get asked basic questions that completely fail to understand what mid 1940′s NYC actually looked like. 

You do understand that Black Panther isn’t coming out until 2018 right? Like Iron Man came out in 2008 so ten years will have passed before we get a single film with a black hero as a protagonist. Also Captain Marvel will feature a white woman as a lead just 4 months after.  Moreover that means over a dozen films will have come out with WHITE MEN AND WHITE WOMEN FEATURING AS LEADS IN EVERY ONE FOR TEN STRAIGHT YEARS IN THE MCU (name a single film where there isn’t a white woman GO ON I DARE YOU).  Not to mention that the MCU as it stands right now the only non disposable WoC in the ENTIRE franchise can only be found in AOS (and that’s after killing off Janice Robbins, Skye’s mom, torturing Akela Amador and Agent 33, HYDRA controlling Raina).  Two whole women of color left on the main team and the price is countless WoC used and thrown away.

But no by all means continue pretending that Black Panther won’t have a single woman in it. When in reality we know that Wakanda is set in Africa so why exactly do you seem to think that it will have no women? DO THEY LACK WOMEN? IS THERE A SHORTAGE OF WOMEN IN AFRICA? Or is just you seem to think it’ll have no white women? 

YES THAT’S IT EXACTLY. YOUR WHOLE POINT IS THAT WHITE WOMEN SHOULD GET TO BOYCOTT A FILM BECAUSE THERE’D BE ONE FILM WITHOUT THEM IN IT. NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT ITS 3 YEARS AWAY. NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT AGENT CARTER IS INTENTIONALLY WHITEWASHED. NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT PEOPLE OF COLOR HAVE BOLSTERED THE TICKET SALES FOR THE MCU SINCE THE BEGINNING. EVEN THO WOC DIDN’T GET A DECENT ROLE UNTIL AOS. 

Even if white women are featured as sexy lamps and only for fanservice white women are a staple of the film industry, I’ve never seen a film without a white woman. But the MCU has never stooped to using white women so horribly they have however used WoC that way (The Incredible Hulk where Bruce’s friend Martina in Brazil is quickly left behind and that was literally the only WoC until Skye and May, but oh yeah what a concidence that all three times a latina has been on screen she’s been disposable, Camilla Reyes, Janice Robbins, and Martina).

and now I want you to listen closely Nonny black women have even less representation than non black WoC in the MCU. There’s only Akela Amador, Agent Anne Weaver and Raina. THREE WHOLE WOMEN IN THE ENTIRETY OF THE MCU AND ONE WAS TORTURED AND ENSLAVED FOR YEARS, THE OTHER FORGOTTEN, AND THE LAST A SOMETIME VILLAIN WHO IS OFTEN CONTROLLED BY HYDRA.

Black Panther is the one chance that we’ll have at seeing black women as heroines and as leading ladies.
