Blue Rambles About Connor
In light of Connor still being ignored and shafted by Ubi, I’m thinking of making a fix it fic/something that can soothe the huge hole in my heart BECAUSE CONNOR DESERVES MORE? I don’t know the details yet but gosh darn it he’ll have his happy ending >:C I’m literally though so sick and tired about him being ignored. Like -- no hate to Unity fans -- but Arno who’s arguably received less favourably (as a whole) than Connor gets a mention? I’m at the point where I’m beginning to wonder if Ubisoft thought Ezio Trilogy then ????? then Black Flag + Liberation. And on another note, Ubisoft please retire Ezio already. Like he’s practically begging for the sweet release of death by this point. Don’t get me wrong, he was pretty solid protagonist BUT SWEET LORDE LET HIM REST ALREADY. Urgh urgh urgh (too many feelings to coordinate into a coherent argument right now) but holy mother is it too much to ask for? That Connor gets a little mention every now and then?
I'm having so many family feels from ACIII. Fucking Haytham, Ziio and Connor.
Im really not into Revelations and I've been trying to will myself to play so I can move onto the next. Im thinking of just skipping it and playing AC:3. Should I?
Hello? Assassin's Creed fan artists? Could someone please draw a female assassin that's actually dressed appropriately for assassinating?
I just finished Assassin's Creed III. Here is my post-game review.
First off, I am a huge AC fan and it is my favourite game series and I will not spoil anything in this review.
Personally I didn't find ACIII to be anything to get excited over. It takes a little while to get going and then even when it does pick up...it slows down majorly. That being said, Desmond's ancestor in this game, Connor (A Native American) has the personality of a brick wall and is in no way intriguing whatsoever.
The story line of this game is pretty much Connor wanting revenge for personal reasons, which takes away from the normal feel of the game that I have grown to love. Also, I feel like there is just too much going from place to place. It's like cutscene, walk a while to this place, cutscene, go here, cutscene, actual mission, cutscene, continued mission, end mission cutscene, continue. It was just boring and not as fun as the other games in the series. The controls in this installment are horrid. The open-conflict/battle controls always fuck me up and I end up getting angry over it, and the newly designed weapon-wheel is a waste of time. Though, I do like the naval battles though...that is one addition to this game that I freaking love. On the game being set in 1700s America...feh. One of the reasons I love this series is because it is set in Third Crusade-era Middle East (AC:I), and then Renaissance-era Italy (AC:II, Brotherhood, Revelations)...which are beautifully landscaped and are interesting time periods. However, Revolution-era New England is just so BLAND. Maybe because I have lived in New England my whole life and have heard enough of the American Revolution...but the landscape is just dreary and not as exciting. Even the 'wilderness' section of the game is nothing special (Tree Viewpoints SUCK ASS). Overall, this game wasn't anything to get worked up over (the ending was kinda ehhhh as well) I 'enjoyed' it simply because it is a continuation of my favourite game series. It wasn't terrible, but Ubisoft could have done better. That being said it is sorta glitchy at times. As for the future of the AC games..I am semi-nervous. I am an Xbox 360 player and with a 360 'successor' planned for release next holiday season, I really hope future AC games will still come out on the 360.
