Patron of Theft, Tattooing and Destitution, Acacious
Acacious is depicted a self shadowy being, he thinks only of himself and never considers the consequences of what he does. He is greedy, maligned and often depicted as a pig of a man. It's not uncommon for hide outs of bandits or thieves to be raided and find a small shrine or alter to him made with 'heathen' offerings. He is blamed for children acting out and bad behavior, manipulating people to be greedy.
Mortal kind mostly got Acacious correct. He is indeed greedy and does not consider consequences of his actions and often whines and cries when repercussions come around and smack him in the mouth. But Acacious is the patron of 'The Forced Hand'. The idea of 'Forced hand' is someone who is forced to steal or become a criminal based upon an outside force making them do it or doing it out of desperation to keep others alive. I.E, stealing because your family is starving or because someone is threatening their own life and safety. Acacious protects and sympathizes with these people as they do not do this out of greed, but survival. Acacious was never popular as a god as there was the strong belief that if you pickpocket someone, you are not allowed to stop the next person who pickpockets you as it is only fair. He blesses his Warlocks with quick wit, soft clever hands to pick with and the ability to have any door unlock itself for them. Acacious is given credit for creating the Catfolk and Tabaxi races; and even going as far as designing them off their common ancestor and his first creation, the Cat. The Cat is considered a holy symbol to Acacious and many Warlocks to him keep one in their company-hurting one resulting in stern repercussions and discipline. A popular symbol for Acacious that Warlocks carry is a pair of brass knuckles shaped like a cat's face.
Acacious is also known as the Patron of Tattooing. Many of his warlocks decorate themselves with Tattoos, imbued with magical spells and cantrips. Acacious is said to have invented the idea of tattooing when he was caught by the Patron of Hell trying to steal condemned thieves from the underworld and locked him in an iron box. Bored and needing something to do, Acacious learned to make intricate designs on his skin. He was eventually let out when Serfino opened the box, having forgotten he put Acacious in there.
Acacious and Karokic are noted for being close and dear to one another; one story tells that Karokic was once deafened by an explosion he had caused and could not hear anything. It was Acacious who designed an entire language based on subtle hand gestures and finger movements so they could talk until his ears healed. Acacious later gave the gift of 'The Thieve's Cant' to mortal kind to use as they like. It is often believed that Karokic helped father the Tabaxi race with Acacious; resulting in the Tabaxi being just as clever and curious as the Patron of Science himself. The greatest enemy to Acacious is Ivani- no one knows how the rivalry truely started, but the earliest was the fact that Acacious would not get out of Ivani's way so she yanked his tail so hard that it came off and she used it as a feather duster.
Acacious is also possibly the reason why the fairy tale 'Puss in Boots' exists, as he often wears a pair of fine blue leather boots-the story based off his exploits of using his tricky and wily nature to help a mortal whose father showed him great kindness once.
