9/3/21 | 66/103 Days of Productivity | Zoomester Study Challenge
Had a big of a crash after my essay on Friday, but I'm back at it and ready to back out some lectures today.
Day 6- A cheeky tag yourself
five am. ice cold water. watching the sunrise. healthy smoothies. skincare. reads often. friends with everyone.
ten am. iced coffees. always in a hurry. golden hour aesthetic. remembers the little details. loves old movies.
midday. mom jeans. picnic dates. thrift-shopping. pinterest. low-key insecure. obsessed with photography.
three pm. the color yellow. walks everywhere barefoot. oversized t-shirts. can make anyone laugh. a bit crazy.
five pm. warm smiles. classy. aesthetic instagram feed. anklets. soft music. yoga. face masks.
eight pm. netflix. cuddles warm sheets. indoors life. loves singing but can’t. sweats. never sleeps.
midnight. driving at night. flirty. neon lights. wears a lot of red. big sunglasses. karaoke.
three am. tired eyes. small sketchbooks. pressed flowers. stargazing from the window.
I reckon I'm a blend of 5am, 10am and 5pm. I kinda vibe with bits of all of them though
Day 7- Some of your music faves right now (let’s say up to 5)
I've been rediscovering a lot of new music in the pandemic but also gone back to some old favourites. I'm vibing a lot with Courtney Barnett, The National, First Aid Kit, Conan Gray and Tide Lines lately. With a cheeky smattering of girl in red and Phoebe Bridges
Day 8- International Women’s Day! What’s your take on feminism?
That's a hefty question but I'd say my take is hopefully what everyone's take should be - e.g. its a really really good thing.
Day 9- Write something that you’d like to tell yourself.
Please stop fantasising about moving to London, you haven't got an offer from LSE yet. Start fantasising a little about moving to Durham or Bath instead.
I recently read an article that analyzed planners and those who are disorganized. The study found that those who plan too meticulously (i.e. daily planners, hour by hour itineraries) were less productive than those who make monthly goals. One of my favorite studyblr's @post--grad is engaging in a monthly resolutions post for this year, followed by end of month updates to track progress. It seems to be a really great pathway to analyzing one's own maladaptive planning and time management strategies - you can count me in!!
2017 is all about progress. Please join the hustle and message me your results, it is so motivating.
February Goals
Finally finish Oblivion by David Foster Wallace. One of my bigger goals of the year is to read 25 books for fun. I recently made a Goodsreads account to help stay on track. You can follow me here.
Stay up to date on my bullet journal. I normally keep it fairly updated the first month of the semester and then everything seems to catch on fire and the journal ends up sitting on a shelf for the rest of the semester; unused, collecting dust. Here’s to keeping out the flames through February.
Don’t fall behind in reading for classes. No matter how hard I try, somehow I get chapters behind in a certain class and then have to spend an entire Saturday catching up. I’d like to keep my life a little ahead of schedule because finals always suck and I am determined to discover how to feel semi stable when the storm hits. One month at a time.
Attempt morningpages 3x a week. What’s Morningpages? It’s a 3 page stream of consciousness writing session in the morning; ideally, when you wake up. I am currently researching for my current writing project rather than actively writing. I need some exercise in writing that isn’t research papers and analytical essays.
Apply for Graduation!!! The day is finally here!!!
I am doing great on my new year’s resolution to eat healthier and work out consistently. I have really noticed a positive change in my mood and motivation. I want to continue my weekly routine with the same consistency.
It's hard to know how to select a mentor because I feel like I only knew what I was looking for in a mentor when I had been connected with a bad one :(
I GUESS YOU CAN LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES ALSO
I worship the feeling of letting go of digital and analog bookmarks after having finished a larger project or thesis. I am now free. Not every move will remind me of everything that I have yet to do.
Finish ya damn paper
Working on it now you heathens.
