Ahhh squiggly! I just got a chance to read my request you fulfilled and I loved it so so much!!! And I’m extremely honored you enjoy my messages, I’m glad they make your day better! If Pokémon requests are still open, may I please request another one with Roark? I headcannon he gives really good bear hugs! 10/10 bodies the person (and tooootally dosent spin his s/o) and if it’s not a big deal, can you also do another x reader? But, if your Pokémon requests are full, no worries friend! Just ignore this request and have a lovely day! Thank you so so much!! -⚡️
Aww!!! That makes my heart happy! Thank you friend :) And gah, my heart is BLOOMING! Roark beloved- I always love writing for him! This is beyond precious! I've gotcha covered, friend! Have an amazing day aswell!
There was a lot of things you loved about Roark.
For one- he was an absolute dork about fossils and rocks. He could ramble for hours about the history of various prehistoric pokemon and their habits, forms, and the mythology associated with them. His excitement for said things was incredibly endearing, and he had a way to him that made even what seemed like the most boring aspects entertaining.
He was also incredibly supportive of you in all your plans and decisions. As long as you were doing it for you and weren’t putting yourself in harm's way, he was your number one cheerleader, encouraging you to take risks and being there for you if you stumbled.
Both in the metaphorical and literal sense. He’s a strong guy- there had been more than one occasion where he carried you home after you hurt or exhausted yourself.
All these are great, but by far your favorite part of Roark came in his hugs. There were two types when it came to the fossil loving redhead: the first was softer- a gentle squeeze when the day’s been long and you needed physical affection. They could last forever if you desired it.
The second was even better.
“ROARK! ROARK I GOT IN!” You all but screamed as you raced through Oreburgh, flying past trainers and workers alike. In your hand you were waving a piece of paper, the words “We welcome you to Naranja Academy” sprawled across the top. “THEY ACCEPTED ME!”
“They did?” Roark, who had come running at your screams, whooped in joy as he gathered you up in his arms, spinning you around as you laughed and laughed. “That’s my (Y/N)! I knew they'd accept you! I knew it!”
“I’m going to Paldea!” You cheered, hugging him just as tight as he let you down on your feet. Then the reality of what was happening kicked in, dampening your mood. “I’m leaving Sinoh..”
“Hey, hey- no tears.” Roark smiled as he reached up, brushing your cheek. “This is a good thing! You’ll finally get to travel like you’ve always wanted!” He pinched your cheek gently. “My dear (Y/N)’s gonna be famous! Don’t forget me when you're the new champion, okay?”
“Ugh, you’re annoying!” You laughed, shoving him lightly. “Really though- I won’t be home for a year. I’m gonna miss you.”
“I will, too.” Finally, a drop of sadness entered his voice, the two of you sharing the moment as the world went on. “But,” he shook himself out of it, smiling once more. “I’ll come visit! Once you're settled in, you can give me a tour of the region and introduce me to all your new friends.”
“Hm, we’ll see. I might be too famous by then.” Yout teased, laughing as he pulled you along, the two of you arm in arm as you walked back to your shared apartment. You were gonna miss him when you were gone. “Promise you’ll at least video call me?”
“Everyday.” He swore, raising a pinky finger.
You tucked yours around his, smiling.
Send me a headcanon and character(s) and I'll write a short 300-500 word dabble for it!
I surprised my niece and nephew with their Hogwarts acceptance letters while dressed as Professor McGonagall! My dad made my wand and I made a book purse to carry their items. A week before my niece's 11th birthday.
This is what it took for me to get accepted into my university.
This is all the paperwork, from acceptance letters, scholarship notices, orientation, you name it, I probably have a letter from someone about it. This stack, is just that. A stack. 14 envelopes got me into university.
What these 14 envelopes don’t tell, is me crying about how passionate I was for something, while writing the scholarship essay for one of my scholarships.
It doesn’t show me spending nights upon nights adding up totals to somehow find a way to make the money work, to somehow lower the cost.
It doesn't show me calling my mom crying tears of joy, and thanking every higher power I could think of when I got my financial statement, and found out I would be getting money back from my university.
It doesn’t show the nerves as I opened my orientation packet and started thinking about my course schedule, how I would find my way around campus, when I would eat, where I would park?
I am unbelievably grateful for these 14 envelopes, and know I worked incredibly hard to get each scholarship, but it is crazy to think how every single one of these envelopes has probably lead to tears at some point.
Fourteen envelopes changed my life forever, one less envelope and who knows what I would be doing right now. 14 pieces of paper decided my future. Let that sink in.
LET THAT SINK IN.
[04.03.20] ✧ 92 days of productivity
ft. me at the top of Storke Tower!!!
I hope everyone is KILLING their quarter or semester! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA for nearly a month -- let’s just say it’s been the most hectic few weeks known to man.
In these past few weeks I have finished my thesis (at a grand total of 71 pages and more to go!), I have gotten accepted to TWO GRADUATE PROGRAMS, and I am planning on moving back to Colorado on 13 March. Which means I absolutely need to finish the rest of my undergraduate education with a completed 100 days of productivity!! Even though I haven’t counted the last month into my total, I really want to dedicate these last two weeks to completing that milestone, as well as the milestone of getting my BA degree from UCSB!!*~
The two graduate programs I’ve gotten accepted to?:
- University of Edinburgh College of Art - MSc Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating & Criticism
- Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Baltimore - MFA Curatorial Practice
I literally am beside myself -- I have worked so hard for this opportunity and I’m finally realizing all of it. It is also extremely surreal considering it is my last two weeks at UCSB, and I am trying to complete everything on my UCSB bucket list! Of course, going to the top of storke tower was the ultimate. <3
What’s left now?
To-dos: ✧ Thesis editing + add additional photographs ✧ ANTH 130 presentation notes, slides, and paper ✧ ARTHI 5B presentation tomorrow! Background research, time it out, have a script ✧ GreenTongues conference and coding ✧ Contact Eco Vista creatives team to look at creating platforms for stickers, logo, t-shirts, and other related merch (which you could feature on your portfolio!)
Tracker: ✧ Mood: amazing ✧ Energy: 90% ✧ Sleep: 7h ✧ Water: 3 glasses ✧ Listening to: coffee (side note: playyard is a local IV band!) ✧ Workout: I actually haven’t worked out since my last post LOL, but I bike quite regularly and eat extremely healthy ✧ Skincare: LOL my retinol has burnt my skin, working on it ✧ What made me happy today: the sunshine and the ocean, this entire week it’s been 80 degrees (26.6 c) and I’m taking it all in <3 ✧ What made me proud today: graduate programs and literally achieving all of my dreams rn
I hope to send this same positive energy and luck throughout my lovely tumblr community xx
Acceptance Letters // Izuku Midoriya
The squeak of the mailbox door was loud and prominent, as Inko Midoriya watched her son open the mailbox with an excited look on his face, and then close it when he saw it empty. She had begged for him to come inside and eat a few times before, only for him to refuse and continue to open and close the mailbox.
Inko had been counting the days, and she was sure that the letter had gotten lost in the mail or something. It was five days late, and Hogwarts was never late. Alternatively, at least it was five days late from the date she had first received her letter in the mail all those years ago. Whatever the cause, Inko had come down to two conclusions.
One: Her son hadn't gotten accepted into Hogwarts.
Two: The letter had gotten lost in the mail.
Thinking about her son, she hated to believe so, but she was more so leaning towards the first reason rather than the second. Compare to his other wizard friends, Izuku had shown barely any magical power. Now, Inko found herself regretting the decision to even mention Hogwarts to her son. He had gotten so excited about it when it was possible that he hadn’t gotten accepted.
Unable to watch any longer, Inko walked down the driveway and to Izuku, placing her hand on his shoulder. "It’s time to go inside. It’s getting dark out, and you need to eat dinner."
"But what if my letter arrives? I won’t see the owl!" Izuku complained, opening the mailbox once more.
"We’ll check it tomorrow, first thing in the morning. Deal?" Her face softened as she saw the look of disappointment on her son’s face. "First thing in the morning, and after dinner?"
"Okay... deal."
