it already took the two of you a while to start holding hands or using each other's first names but kissing was an even bigger deal! 

you didn't want to pressure your girlfriend and you had a talk with her about letting her decide when she's ready for kissing

you knew that eventually she'd tell you when she'd like to kiss you and until then you two wouldn't rush it

the day the two of you finally had your first kiss was one where you and hotaru had met up to study for an upcoming exam together

"and you're absolutely sure?" you stopped and asked

"i am" hotaru assured you with a nervous smile, before the two of you slowly began to close the gap between each other, until your lips met for the first time
