Feeling curious last night, I took the time and double checked to see if Stripe was truly unavailable for me and wherever or not it would harm me and my situation in the long run. Discovering in the end that it was alright, yes, I could indeed use it and not worry about getting screwed over, I went ahead and set up my account. They even had a Fortune Teller option of all things in the type of business one was running. Awesome, I thought, when I saw that options and gleefully went about setting up everything on there, which took about two hours all in all.
Of course, it turned out to be too good to be true in the end. I got a notification that my account violated their terms of service, that Fortune Teller was a problematic and prohibited form of business, which they refused to adknowledge and therefore closed my account.
What the fuck Stripe? Why would you give Fortune Teller as a business option in your catagories section for building your business account, when you just plan to deny people and close their accounts in the end when they select that option as the catagory of where their business falls into? That’s fucking horrible if you ask me.
And once again I’m frustrated as hell. I was hoping that if I could get Stripe working, I could finally be able to receive money via my Ko-Fi account once more, which I haven’t been able to do since 2018 because of Paypal fucking me over and not being able to find my current documents, or not being able to get somewhere where I could get new copies of documents, specifically my Social Security Number card.
Not for the first time, I really wish Ko-Fi would give us other options to connect to our accounts, payment wise, other than Paypal or Stripe.
Fuck Paypal, fuck Ko-Fi, and a major fuck you Stripe! Though I’m actually fond of both Ko-Fi and Paypal, they both still piss me off and frustrate me to no end.
