okay i have barely touched the ace quests so this is just what i know from people i follow

In regards of the Ace quest. I didn't get screenshots, but when other people from MC's school look at them getting there, they just go "What now? What am I being blamed for now?" And that line really got me. I mean, MC has become bitter. I know if you don't forgive everyone, PB guilt trips us. But doing so doesn't make sense. MC was bullied and is scared, they can't just accept the apology right away. If you do, the other characters go "We don't deserve you, MC.". And they really don't?? It is insane to me how bitter, terrible and fucked up this quest was, to finish the arc. We saw how abused Ace was, and what turned him into that robot. We saw MC was bitter and left with scars. BUT this wasn't the main storyline, and Ace is (I am glad) an All-Star. So, we probably will: a) Forget all about the scars and even the unforgiveness of the MC (if that is the case;) b) Never see development as to Ace's family abuse. I just can't even with this arc. It was fun as a politica game in the start, the initial betrayal showed Ace some depth. But this has gone way too far. I can't with this.

chapter four: silent whistle blower

Characters: Ace, MC (Beryl Ayer) Warnings: None Summary:  Pawns, enemies, morally ambiguous partners with hidden agendas; whatever it is they are, it won’t end well. [An AU in which a certain high school is never established, and no one can be trusted.]

Ace looks up as a pile of notebooks slams down onto the table, the silence of the library disturbed as Beryl leans towards him and hisses, “Hearst isn’t a legitimate high school.”

“A bold statement to make just because you’d rather not work with a certain quarterback,” he whispers back with a raised brow, hiding how his mind tries to work out just why she’s coming to him with this concern. In the past few weeks that they’ve worked together, they’ve been friendly and diplomatic in public, and at each other’s throats every other possible moment (not to mention the fact that his plan to impeach her and take over her spot is still slowly coming to fruition).

“This isn’t about Warren,” she scowls, sitting and explaining, eyes pure stone and never breaking from his, “This is about bringing down a corrupt system before someone outside the district does and tarnishes Kepler’s reputation in the process. If we don’t expose it, they’ll assume we’re in on it.”

He sighs, still unimpressed with her show of seriousness. “You’re going to have to elaborate when you try and prosecute an entire high school.”

“People are buying their grades with literal money or close relations to the Warrens.”

The annoyance and color drains from Ace’s face, and he checks their surroundings to make sure no one could possibly over hear. He leans forward, whispering even though they’re essentially alone, “It wouldn’t surprise me if it were true, but unless you have something concrete –“

Her smirk is enough to cut him off, and a second later she holds up an unassuming flash drive, the exposed metal tip glinting as she twirls it in her fingers. “Oh, Ace, I don’t just have ‘something concrete’,” she purrs, looking on the verge of an evil cackle, “I have everything. Student records that don’t match, incriminating emails, and budgets that don’t quite balance how they should.”

His frown brings her fun to an end as he mutters, “How did you get that?”

“Anonymous source trusts me to bring this all to light.”

“Trusts you?” he scoffs, looking nearly as entertained as she was a moment ago. He chuckles to cover up his annoyance, because it used to be him; anonymous tips and concerned students used to go to the one and only Ace to solve their problems, not some second-rate theater kid. Clearly, he’s going to have to act faster with his plan, before she gains any more power amongst his base.

She rolls her eyes, hiding the flash drive once more in her fist. “Laugh all you want, the fact of the matter is that we can single-handedly bring down Hearst at any moment.”

“Or,” he drawls, nonchalantly going back to his textbook, “We wait.”

Beryl scowls, arguing, “But if someone else –“

“No one else can even think about touching Hearst. There’s no harm in waiting for the opportune moment.” He looks back up at her, noting her skeptical frown, and sighs, “You’ll still get all the glory you want, and we’ll still be serving justice, or whatever it is you want to get out of this; it’ll all just come at a different time, when it can serve another purpose, too.”

This seems to convince her enough to shrug, picking up her things once more as she gets up to leave, whispering as she stands, “Just know that I warned you.”

He grips his pencil so tightly that the wood nearly snaps in half. And just know that when you’re left in the dust, he thinks, watching her walk out of the library without the slightest clue to his true intentions (and giving him no clues about hers), That even a warning couldn’t have saved you.

“Vivian?”

The sophomore looks up from her notebook, frowning at the grinning senior standing before her desk. “What do you want, Ace?”

His frown deepens and he takes a look around the classroom to ensure that it’s empty before he leans closer to her, cooing, “I’m sorry for being so curt with you before. I know you only want the best for Kepler.”

She raises a brow, closing her notebook. “What’s going on?”

“You really made me think,” he lies smoothly, “And I realized that you’re right to be concerned.”

“Of course I am; that girl doesn’t know the first thing about politics.”

“You’re right.” His grin is wolfish, but he knows she’s too wrapped up in her righteousness to notice. Concern and promise coat his voice as he whispers, “And I think it’s time we started showing everyone else, too.”

“What are you proposing?”

“Only that you lead this school to a new era, and it begins when Beryl is out of power.”

“And what about you?”

“Me?” He chuckles darkly, purring, “Well, I’ll be a secret for now.”

Just like I always am.

Looking back it feels like not a whole lot happens in this chapter but it’s actually the build up for two of the most important plot points.

Help for an MC x Ace fanfic :)

Hi guys! So, I've been behind in HSS quests as I haven't played in a while due to real-life problems and obligations.

However, I'm back for a while.

Here's the thing. I have been listening to a certain song for several days, and based on what others are saying, IT'S PERFECT FOR AN MC X ACE FANFIC! Now, I actually need help :)
