Silvisaurus is a Nodosaurid known from the Dakota Formation in Kansas, living from the Cenomanian age of the Late Cretaceous, approximately 96 to 93.5 million years ago. It is known from an incomplete skeleton, including part of the skull, but the fossil itself was fairly poor and are from the bottom of a river, where they had been trampled by cattle. It was probably about 4 meters long, and it was probably a fairly early derived Nodosaurid due to the teeth in the front of it’s jaw. It had large air passages in the skull for loud vocalizations.
