He laughed, letting the horse nibble.
“Yes, I do. And you are a horse that can speak. I’d say we’re both a little strange, hm?”

It was rude to stare. Jamie knew that. Jamie also knew that if it was rude to stare, it was even ruder to gawk in unabashed horror at the grotesque creature before him. His mother had told him about the dullahan before, of course, during her better moments about talking of the different Fair Folk yet....
They weren't meant to exist!!!!
Then again, if wolf-people existed and apparently Jamie existed too, then....
But god, that smile. They couldn't take their eyes off him-- him?? Them??? UhhhHHHHHhhHHHH.
acephalousantics replied to your post: She’s trying to swallow an extra thick easter egg...
“Maggie, Please just bite down on the easter egg, you’re going to hurt yourself.“ Maggie no. Maggie Please.
She holds up a finger in a gesture for ‘a moment’. She has this. Maggie thinks that she can manage this without shapeshifting. If not she’ll open up her throat to get it out. She must do this for the (alien) vine.

His head does indeed go flying, already several feet away before Somhairle can catch it with his magic, a cloud of orange smoke enveloping the head and dropping it into his waiting hands before it could hit the floor. The headless man can't help a laugh, though, shoulders shaking as the deep voice echoes from his chest. "You know, typically when people give a kiss in greeting, custom is to return it, not to behead them."
“Well now this is certainly new......” Observing the other “Normally people can’t speak when their head is so clearly not on their shoulders....”

The chill hits him before anything else when he blinks, closes his eyes because they feel dry and then opens them tentatively once more... He has to admit he’s been out for too long. All the streetlights are on, his legs are freezing and somewhat numb and he feels sore from the support of the bench on his back.
What time was it? He doesn’t have the willpower at the moment to pull his hand from the pocket of his jacket and check the time, lest he become even colder than he already was. Though, even then he doesn’t have much of an option when a sound catches his attention. And even then, his rise from the bench is sluggish and pulls aching, cold muscles uncomfortably as he rounds the corner in search of the offending sound.
Only to spot a squirrel--or the remains of it--being... eaten? By a horse, in the middle of the city. And the rider looking none too happy with the turn of the events. It’s such a surreal scene, but he’s too tired and cold to really be shocked by the absurdity.
“... Pardon me, but am I seeing this right? I always assumed horses were vegetarians.”

Certainly demons are capable of shame, and can understand the concept of personal space when it’s proper, but why bother with all of those silly niceties when one can simply lean in and study the... finer details of their table side companions?
Such was Luxu’s current situation, single golden eye tracing the oddly tantalizing outline of the collar adorning So’s neck with a concentrated intensity, following its shape as one might the details of a road map marking unknown territory---simply knowing it had a secret to hide. Chalk it up to the powerfully innate sixth sense that had been built into his system upon his crafting eons ago, but the longer he stared, the more he simply wanted to...
...And he did, leaning in to press the chastest, gentlest kiss upon the fabric. Knowing it was bold, knowing it might be considered inappropriate. But they were fully aware of one another’s natures---why bother to hide them?

“Yeah, well, comes with this kinda territory, y’know.”
Luxu had not known this newest companion for very long, but knew there was no point in hiding his true nature---and besides, he was legitimately enjoying the company they had brought to the table. They were of the same sort of Otherness---and it was truly pleasant, finding another Non-mortal with which to share his ruminations and reflections. Perhaps not the deepest, most intimate sort, but at least what was readily relatable.
“Bein’ Fallen,” and he leaned his back against the bar after this bold introduction to his thought, bringing his whiskey up to mouth-height, elbow resting on the coaster-cluttered surface, arm dangling down---the sort of loose, cowboy-like posture that came with his brand of Infernal Apathy, “turned out to be a damn doozy. Celestial-ness in the first place came with a lot a’ Questions---and believe me, Upper Management did not deem it necessary to provide very many Answers, as you can see.”
Then a minimal gesture upwards with his drink before taking a hearty swig---cheers to curiosity, and the consequences thereof.

“You got this kinda nifty lil... glow around ya. I mean, I can tell it’s from some sorta mystical, magical 'mancy ya got goin’ on,” and, if Luxu took a moment, likely could get a peak of what was beneath that glittery veil of sorcery, but, decidedly, did not want to spoil such a tantalizing secret, “but there’s no denyin’ it’s quite aesthetically divine.”
