As an asexual and aromantic cisgender White man, I just don’t feel like I belong in the LGBT community. I’m not trying to say people have made me feel unwelcome (like, some people have, but the majority of people I’ve spoken to have been welcoming.) but I just honestly feel like I shouldn’t be in the community. I just feel like my experiences are so vastly different most other LGBT people, that I feel disengenuous trying to insert myself into a space that really wasn’t made for me.

And I don’t means that all ace/aro people don’t belong in the community, becasue I think they do. I just me that I, as an individual, don’t feel like I should be part of the community.
