After playing enough AC:FA and even doing some pvp in which I finally won a match...
Disabled pilots hit even harder. Like something about being a mech pilot as a disability metaphor will forever latch on in my brain. Like pulling a win together by the skin of my teeth feeling my joints starting to lock and my heart rate start pushing unsafe levels it's got that rush for piloting that mech media portrays.
My ac in ACFA is called Hing Kast. Estonian for Soul Box or Breath Box. Depending on how you want to look at it, it's either a record of all the kills it has from the campaign and now the one kill from pvp. Or it's how it's my Lynx's coffin.
Thoughts are still muddled and messy it's hard to put ideas together beyond "disabled mech pilot" but the thoughts are there. The frame is a coffin, it's freedom, it's death of you and those around you, it's whatever you make of it.
Mech media feels like one of the few places disabled characters are allowed to exist
back at it again with the armoredcoreposting
Dropping my current main build for acfa, mainly for @itemstealer

Good, you came. How obedient of you. Fell the cradles. All of them. Millions will die. Exciting, don't you think?
One down. Twenty million dead.
Forty million.
Sixty million.
Eighty million.
One hundred million. Done.
There are so many more lives to take.
Our journey is just beginning.

Painted a battle between Maximilian Thermidor and Wynne D Fanchon because this mission is first and foremost a conflict between their opposing ideologies so it made sense to. Also, I may have spent all of my time fighting for dear life against Shinkai so this is how it went every time.
Arteria Cranium itself is so significant that I wanted to paint it as prominent and powerful as it felt upon first seeing it - it was like stepping into a holy place. Along with the buildup to its importance and the stark contrast of this mission's track compared to everything before it it has an atmosphere that is so unique and impactful I won't ever forget it. From's really good with letting areas and moments speak for themselves.
